Days passed and Shayne has turned into a depressed man, the woman that used to work with him in the office was long gone. He found out that she left the country, that she wasn't planning to come back; at least not in the foreseeable future.
The only thing that could make Shayne smile was his beloved daughter and his girlfriend that would soon become his wife. He wondered why his friend had so suddenly left without any notice. That day in the office, she seemed to be sullen, lonely, and heartbroken.
Did he do something, was he the cause of her broken her heart? Was he the reason for her to leave just like that? His one and the only true friend had left him back. Shayne knew that Courtney had a crush on him back in high school, but he made it clear that he only viewed her as friend and sister.
He was happy for Courtney when she got her first boyfriend, Eric, back in college when she turned twenty. They looked so happy and like they really loved each other. He thought then that Courtney feelings for him had faded. But, then this got Shayne, all confused.
Why did she leave a heartbroken Eric here too without any explanation?
