Two

I look down at the black car, watching as we drop some MTs down.

My hand goes to my pocket, fingers closing around the locket.

"I say we go after the ship itself." I hear a demanding voice say

"Gene, I don't think that would be smart," Prompto says

"If you still want to be with us when we find Noct, I wouldn't advise it," Ignis says

"They're still looking for me?" I whisper

I watch as G warps into the middle of the cluster of MTs and warping back out after causing some damage.

I motion at the driver to hold on as I walk a little closer to the edge.

Gladio holds his shield at an angle next to Gene as she summons a dagger and jumps off, taking one MT down, only for it to be replaced by another.

"They just keep coming." Prompto yells

"We have the one ship still here above us. And I can see two more in the distance." Gene says, taking a shot at a few more MTs

She spins out of the way of one before it can hit her, her hair flying behind her as the knot holding the braid falls out.

I motion for more MTs to be released as Ignis and Gladio takes the last one down.

"What's the point of taking them, prisoner?" I holler back at the captain

"I don't know sir. Ardyn just told us to collect them." He says

I nod and turn back around in time to see Iggy and Gladio do a quick link strike before bouncing back to their own separate target.

"Ignis, do you see any way out?!" Gene yells from one side, surrounded by at least three MTs

"I don't see a very easy one without the car." He says

"And we can't leave the Regalia." She says

When all of them are too busy fighting, I drop down, summoning the ultima blade to my hand. I head towards Gene, getting ready to bring my sword down on top of her.

She looks over and only sees the sword, she crosses her gun and staff in an x and holds the sword off.

"Gene!" Prompto says

She takes one look at the sword and that's when her hazel eyes meet mine.

"Noct?!" She basically screeches

"Hello to you too," I say

"What the hell are you doing attacking me?" She hisses

"What does it look like?" I ask, taking my sword away from her block

"Ignis, Gladio, might need to get a phoenix down ready," Prompto says

"No don't." Gene says, whipping her head towards them "If Noct really wants to show up like this and wants to kill me. Let him."

She looks back at me again and lets her weapons disappear. She takes one step, grabbing my sword hand and points it at her heart.

"Do it Noct. Let's see what this new Noct can do." She says "Can you really kill somebody that you used to claim to love?"

I look at her, my free hand immediately going to the locket in my pocket, twisting it between two of my fingers.

"What the hell happened to you Noct?" She yells, snapping me out of my trance

"I finally realized my potential," I say

She summons her staff and quickly hits me in the side, knocking me backward, making me fall onto my back as I lose my footing.
