Her sobs were heart wrenching
They bounced off the four walls
The only witness to this torture
She wailed, shrieked, and cried
Wished upon every star in the sky
To take away the pain of her broken heart
Because it was just too much
She felt every crack form, every piece fall
As her heart crumbled to ruins
And it was all because of the ones who left
All that hurt, all those goodbyes
Combined into one jackhammer
That went slamming against her ribcage
And broke what was left of her aching heart
