I can't decide if it's a choice, getting swept away.

It'd been two weeks and he was still the only thing on her mind.

His face, his eyes, his voice, his hair, the way his fingers played with the ends of his shoelaces, everything about him was on a constant loop.

She couldn't get him out of her head. And she didn't want to.

That night they shared at the park was something she prayed she would never forget, even when she was 87 and wrinkly and living with three cats.

But if there was one thing she definitely knew for sure, it was the fact that she didn't know his name.

How do you spend an entire night with someone and never learn their name?

That's what was bothering her the most: his name.

Roger? Kevin? Alexander?

She had gone through maybe a hundred names in her head and none of them seemed to fit.

She hoped she'd get to know it someday, though. Because, besides for learning his name, it would mean she would see him again.

He was worried.

Worried that something had happened to her.

And he was also worried that he cared this much about someone he barely knew.

It'd only been two weeks, but a lot can happen in fourteen days.

He couldn't stop thinking about what she had said.

Hedrinksalotandhehitsmymomsometimeshehitsmebutnotthatoftennotreallyusuallyhejustmakesmefeelbadabouteverythi--

It had taken everything in him not to call the cops that night.

He didn't know why, but he felt this strange urge that he had to help her, that he had to save her. It felt like it was his responsibility--his job--to make sure she was okay.

And that's exactly what he planned on doing if they ever met again.

He was at the local grocery store, trying to find the cereal aisle. He'd probably have found it sooner if his two friends, Calum and Ashton, weren't being stupid as always. Don't get him wrong, he loved his friends to death. But to be arguing this much about types of cereal? It was slightly absurd and very annoying. Besides, everyone knew Lucky Charms were the way to go.

"Ash, we're not getting Fruit Loops."

"Aww, come on. They're delicious!"

"No, they're disgusting. And I don't see them anywhere."

"Follow your nose for the fruity taste that shows!" Ashton pointed around the corner at his beloved cereal. "It always works!"

He spun around to roll his eyes at his friends and ended up colliding with someone instead.

His legs flew out from underneath him as his face met the concrete floor. He heard another body thud against the ground and he saw a familiar shade of brown hair out of the corner of his eye.

No fucking way.

"Shit, Niall. Did you even look where you were going?"

Calum chastised him as he stood up, brushing his hands off on his jeans. He glanced down at the girl he had run into.

Holy shit. It's really her.

Niall couldn't take his eyes off of her. He couldn't believe his luck. He never thought he would see her again, never in a million years. But here they were, two weeks later, in a cereal aisle.

Life's funny sometimes.

"Ni, mate, are you gonna help her up or just stare all day?" Ashton's voice snapped him back to reality.

"Yeah, sure, sorry."

Niall leaned over and held out his hand. She took it without hesitation and pulled herself up.

She didn't realize that it was really him until she met his blue eyes.

"Hi," she breathed.

"Hey. We meet again." He smiled the beautiful smile she had spent the past two weeks daydreaming about.

They stared at each other for a few moments, soaking everything in.

By some magical twist of fate, they had met again.

Calum coughed lightly.

"I hate to break up whatever you have going on here, but Niall, mind introducing us to your friend?"

"Um, sure. This is...you know, um..." Niall scratched the back of his head nervously as he glanced around the aisle. He couldn't tell Calum who she was even if he wanted to. He had no idea what her name was. He could have introduced her as 'park girl', but then he'd have to explain their night together and that night was something he never wanted to share with anyone but her.

Niall didn't know what to say. Calum raised his eyebrows. He didn't understand what was taking him so long.

Well, she thought. He can't tell them. I guess I better help Niall out here.

you need to vote for this update even though it sucks because i made it long and i typed every single fucking word on my phone and it took me around three hours and my fingers are literally shaking and aching and if that doesn't deserve a vote, i don't know what does.

idk exactly when next week i'll update.

but i have about half of it written already and i swear he'll learn her name and things will begin to start happening whenever i do.

okay?
