You're like perfection, some kind of holiday.
Casper followed the boys all the way back to a brown two-story house in a neighborhood on the other side of town.
It was a really nice neighborhood. The kind of neighborhood that made her wonder what exactly she had gotten herself into.
She didn't really know these people at all. Sure, she knew Niall...sort of. They'd spent one night together at the park. But still. She was still a little apprehensive of what was to come. Especially when she overheard a bit of Niall and Calum's conversation as she walked up to the front door.
"He's not gonna like this, dude."
"Cal, chill the fuck out. I'll take care of it."
They stopped conversing when they heard Ashton exclaim "Hiiii, Casper!"
"You ready for this?" That was Niall. He smiled at Casper. She nodded slightly.
"Yeah. I mean, I guess." She still didn't know what to expect. She didn't even know what kind of music this band played or what their name even was. Had Niall told her already? Maybe once. But that wasn't enough for her to remember. Everything with him felt like a blur.
Ashton rang the doorbell and the four of them waited for a moment before the door opened.
"I'm gonna go warm up in the garage. See you guys later."
"Bye, Ash." Niall turned to Casper. "He plays the drums."
"Oh." Casper really didn't know what to say anymore. She was starting to regret coming. This really wasn't her place. She could be at home right now, reading a book or something.
Niall walked inside towards the kitchen as Casper got lost in her thoughts.
"Casper? Helloooo. Caaaaaasper. Hey." Calum waved his hand in front of her face. "Are you gonna go inside or what?"
"Oh. Yeah. S-sure."
Calum moved past her, making her the last of the group to make it inside.
"Hi, I'm Michael and I like warm hugs." A boy with brown hair and green eyes stepped out from behind the door and smiled at Casper, holding his arms out.
She wasn't exactly sure about what she was supposed to do. Hug him back or...? Casper glanced at Calum for help, but he just shrugged and walked over to a couch.
"Um...hi? I'm CaspER." Michael tackled her in a giant hug, making her scream out the end of her name.
"Like the ghost?"
"Basically," She muffled into his hair.
"Well, Casper the Friendly Ghost, I have one question for you: do you want to build a snowman?" He let go of Casper and took a step back, waiting for her answer.
"Okay, I'm sorry, but are you on something or...?" Casper was genuinely confused. It was the middle of spring. It hadn't snown in over three months. There was no way they could build a snowman.
Michael shook his head and started singing. "Do you want to build a snowman? It doesn't have to be a snowman."
"I literally have no words."
"Wait, are you telling me you've never seen Frozen?"
"...yes?"
"OHMYGOD HOW ARE YOU EVEN ALIVE YOU'RE WATCHING IT RIGHT NOW COME ON" Michael tugged Casper to the couch while laughing.

They'd been watching Frozen for about two minutes when Niall came back into the room. He'd apparently gone to the bathroom.
