'Cause you're a sky, 'cause you're a sky full of stars.
Something was definitely up with Luke Hemmings.
It'd been a few weeks, and, like he'd said, Luke did see Casper the next day in Chemistry. He had watched her walk into the room and called her name, motioning with his hands for her to come over. She did, with hesitation.
He wasn't an asshole at all.
All he did was ask her if she'd liked the rehearsal yesterday and if she'd come to another one and if she did the homework.
That was it.
And the entire time, he had this gorgeous smile on his face. It was as if he was a completely different person.
Casper didn't mind hanging around this Luke. This Luke was a Luke she could very easily see herself becoming friends with. This Luke was...nice.
When he smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkled into a million little folds and the blue of his eyes burst with happiness.
It was a dazzling sight, a sight that she never wanted to stop seeing.
And, now, a few weeks later, she was addicted to his smile. It was her drug. She couldn't get enough. She counted the minutes until chemistry. She couldn't wait to see him again. If she could make Luke smile, even for a moment, then she had to be doing something right.

Niall was pacing back and forth, wishing Casper was at his door.
He couldn't admit it to anyone, but he felt like he was in love.
Sure, he'd only known Casper for a few weeks, and he'd only talked to her a little here and there because somehow they were never alone, but that one night he'd spent with her in the park was more than he enough to know he loved her.
She was like a sky full of stars.
She lit up everything around her.
Everything was brighter when she was there. All she had to do was smile and it was as if a light switch had been permanently flicked on. Because everything that was dark turned into light and all of the confusion made sense and home was suddenly right in front of your eyes.
When she laughed, you felt like thanking her. Because never had such a beautiful sound graced the word. When she looked at you, you felt invincible. Because there was an overwhelming amount of trust and belief in her eyes. When she moved, all you wanted to do was follow along.
Niall had never felt this way before.
He just wanted to be close to her, to be with her. To be a part of her life in whatever way possible, whatever way she'd let him.
I love you, Cas.
He didn't understand how those four words, the only four words he ever really thought, were so hard to say.
It'd only take two seconds to say them out loud to her. But it'd also only take two seconds for her to break his heart.
Casper was completely wrapped around his finger. And Niall didn't have the slightest clue about what to do.

so you can thank my insomnia and the demon dog i'm dogsitting and coldplay for this update.
i know i never update. i'm sorry about that. i just don't have the motivation to write this anymore. i think that's pretty clear with this shitty, short, awkward update.
anyway, i didn't mean for this chapter to jump as much as it did. if you were a little confused, a few weeks have gone by and basically casper and luke have gotten really close and niall's kind of just like "i love casper but how am i supposed to tell her".
i wrote the next update last month--see, i'm productive sometimes--and i'll post it after i edit it a bit. idk when i'll update again after that because, like i've said before, i have close to zero ideas for this story.
if you really want or need updates, just send me a tweet @paynefullyswift. that'll probably motivate me to write.
anyway, see you in a bit for a chapter that makes me cry.
