Chapter 20: Change and Continuous Pain

Cyan's POV:
I sat on the bed remembering the vague image of the car as it drove off. Dad, Lyova and Lysander was here just yesterday morning and now they were probably home relaxing as a family on such a nice Saturday.

"Cyan, you ok?", Viktor asks as he walks into my room with something in hand.

I look up at him and nod.

"Are you're cuts healing?", he sits down next to me and takes my wrist. "You need to apply some ointment so they won't scar".

He unscrews the cap of the tube of ointment he has and helps me apply it to the cuts on my arms and legs.

His touch makes me blush and my skin tingles under his touch.

Most of my cuts had healed quicker than normal and I didn't need to take any more of the disgusting medication.

I was starting to get used to living here with the twins. Vivianne and Leonard are also very kind and welcoming, although Lilea often stares at me with a puzzled face.

Yuma is probably the only one I can talk with aside from the twins.

Viktor finishes up with the ointment and then looks up at me.

"You're going back to school on Monday right?", Viktor asks me.

School? Oh yeah. College. I'll have to go back to that place...

I nod, "Yeah. I feel better and I've already missed a lot of classes".

"We'll drive you there on Monday. If there's anything you need before then just tell us".

"It's fine...I can walk".

I didn't want the twins to show up at school and see what I go through everyday. It would be embarrassing if anyone found out.

Even Lyova doesn't know I'm an outcast at school. And I really didn't want the twins to know it.

"Don't worry about it, Cyan. Adam drives Lilea there anyway, we'll just be tagging along".

I pause and look at him in subtle surprise.

"Lilea?".

"Oh yeah, you didn't know? Lilea goes to college too, and it happens to be your college. It's sad that we never met though".

I nod in understanding. I don't think I've ever seen Lilea before, she probably takes classes in another building.

"Want to watch a movie to pass the day by?", he asked cheerfully.

I immediately nodded, wanting to do something fun.

I had a pile of make up work online to do, but I could always do it later.

Viktor got up and pulled out a remote and turned the TV on. He turned on Netflix and clicked on the list of movies. He handed the remote to me to choose.

I shuffled through the titles on the TV screen, trying to decide.

"Where's Vance?", I asked in the moment as I scanned the titles of the movies.

"He went with Adam and Yuma to fill out some forms. Just some business that he needed to do. Why? Do you miss him? You have me here, so don't worry".

My cheeks burn as he teases me with a smirk on his face. I've come to realize how sly and mischievous Viktor could be a side from his cool and reliable personality.

"I was just asking. I never said I miss him...".

I chose a movie and told him. He clicked it and soon the movie played on the screen.
