You grumbled under your breath as you placed a small cake platter on the cart. Empty cake platter at that. You were having as about as rough of a day as any as you finished cleaning up the host club room. For about three months now you have been cleaning up after every host club meeting because you made the mistake of breaking a painting on the wall. Now let me explain. This was just because it was your first time in the host club and your best friend had gone on and on and mentioned something about rose petals falling from the doorway. Of course, you didn't take that too seriously. Like how can they make rosepetals fall everytime someone walks through the door? But lo and behold you walked through the door and was startled by all the rose petals. You stumbled to the side trying to get out of the wave of petals and hit a chair that hit a cart that hit a stand that hit the wall, knocking off a painting. You had gone almost the whole first three months of school without visiting the host club and the first time you go, that happens. Anyways, back to the original story. You were finished with the dishes and are now sweeping all the rose petals off of the floor. That was your least favorite task of the whole night.
"Stupid rose petals... I hate rose petals..." you grumbled every time you swept them.
And as if on cue, you felt a weight on both your shoulders, "Aww come on (Y/n)-chan. There's no reason to be so grumpy." Kouru Hitachiin commented.
"Yeah. It's not our fault you were scared by some rose petals." Hikaru added.
You rolled your eyes as you shook them off your shoulders, "I wasn't scared by the rose petals. They were just all in my face and overcrowding me. "
The twins laughed and walked away, "Whatever you say." they said simultaneously.
You finally finished cleaning up everything. You walked over to the tall male with black hair and glasses, "I'm finished Kyoya-san." you said as you bowed your head slightly.
Kyoya opened his notepad and wrote some things down, "Just as timely as ever I see."
You just nodded and went to retrieve your bag from the back room. You draped your jacket over your arm and straightened out your uniform. As you made it to the exit, you rolled your eyes yet again at the sight in front of you. Every evening as you left, the host club would stand in two lines at the doorway to say goodbye one by one. Mori always went first with just a nod and a bow, to which you always bowed politely. Then it was Kyoya who just nodded.
"Until the next time," he said, his voice a bit stoic.
Up next was Tamaki who engulfed you in a bear hug, shedding all these unnecessary tears. Following was Haruhi with a simple hug.
"Be safe." Haruhi always said.
"I will."
Then it was Honey. Honey held out Usa-chan to receive the first hug before Honey jumped into your arms, giving you a sweet hug with a kiss on the cheek.
"See you (Y/n)-chan. Don't forget about me overnight," he said so excitedly.
You let out a soft laugh and kissed his forehead, "Of course not Honey-senpai."
You put him down and acted as if you hadn't seen, from the corner of your eye, the distasteful glance sent to you by a particular red-haired twin. You approached Kouru who just smiled kindly, taking your hand in his and kissing the top of it.
"It's always so sad to see you leave (Y/n)," Kouru said.
You let out a soft laugh, "Kouru it's fine. It's only the weekend so you'll see me again in like two days," you reasoned.
"I'm Hikaru," he said with a sad expression.
You flicked his forehead gently, "Don't tease. I know you're Kouru."
