Chapter 4
I sat there, on the bed staring at the ceiling. Tonight was my date with Louis.. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go. Should I? I didn't come to England to get lost in some romance, I came here for this art school. What would going on a date with him mean anyway? He's a boyband pop sensation, we'll probably have one date and after he'll forget about me every existing. Hanna then comes in with a shopping bag. She closes the door behind her and then looks at me. "What are you doing? The date is in less than two hours!" She said. "I'm not going." I groaned. She drops her shopping bags on the ground and narrows her eyes at me. "That is not acceptable! You have to go. You'd be mad to not go!" I don't move. She comes over next to me, her arms crossed across her chest. "What's wrong? Why won't you go?"
"I just don't think it's a good idea." I say. She rolls her eyes, "Don't tell me you already have a boyfriend."
"No, no. I do not." I reply, sitting up on the bed, running my fingers through my hair. "If you get up now, you can hop in the shower and we can still fix that bird nest of hair before the date!" "Hey!"
"What? Come on Em! You have to go or else you'll spend the rest of your life wondering what if." "What if what?"
"What if the date turns into something that'll change your life forever? What if you find that perfect love?"
I sigh. "Or, what if it's completely horrible and I embarass myself in front of a A-List celebrity?"
" Why must you be such a downer?" She says, grabbing my wrists and pulling me up from the bed. "Now, now. Get in the shower or else!" "No! Hanna-" "Please?" She begs, giving me that annoying 'puppy dog' look. I groan, "Ugh. Give me a good reason why he wouldn't forget about me after this date."
"Em, I've only known you for two weeks, and I can tell you're pretty amazing. You're pretty dorky sometimes, but you're funny too. Louis' going to love you, I'm sure of it." She says. I look down at my feet. "You really think so?" I ask. She nods, "Yes. Now come on! We don't have much time!"

Hanna was already done with my hair and makeup, the real challenge was finding something to wear. "Why didn't you plan an outfit earlier!?" She shouted. I give her a glaring look. "Oh. I forgot. How about this one?" She says, showing me a blue sequin dress. I shake my head, "Too flashy."
She sighs, "This one?" She pulls out a purple, plain and simple gown, seemed too short though.
"I'm not sure if I like it.." "So picky!" She grumbled.
"I'm sorry, I just don't think any of these dresses are me.."
"I know, but- Wait!" She exclaims. "Huh?"
"I've got the perfect dress!" She says. "You do..?"
Hanna runs over to the side of her bed, and picks up the shopping bag from earlier.
"Try this!" I take the bag from her, and pull the dress out. It was beautiful. Red, halter necked dress. It was beautiful, it was elegant. I loved it.
"I couldn't possibly wear this.."
"But you must." She says. "Are you sure?" I ask. She nods, "Yes! But hurry up and try it on. I'll be right back."
Hanna ran off into the bathroom, and I quickly slipped out of my clothes and got into this new dress. So far, I liked how it felt. I zip up the back, and adjust myself. It fits well, which I'm glad. Hmm. I walk over to the nearby mirror, and I'm surprised by how much I like the dress. It actually looked nice.
"Blimey. You look amazing!" Hanna chimes in. I turn to her and smile. "Thank you for letting me borrow the dress."
"Don't worry about it babe." She says.
