Chapter 21
I woke up around 7 am. The sun was bright and shining this morning. I opened my eyes, wishing that maybe it was Saturday, but no. It was Friday. Come on Em. Just a couple more hours until the weekend. I stretched out of bed, looking over at Hanna who was buried under her pillow. She always liked to sleep that way. "Wake up Han." I yawned. "Mm. 2 more minutes." She groaned.
I stepped out of bed, stretching my arms up.
"I doubt two minutes is going to make you feel well rested."
"Who asked you." She moaned, slowly sitting up on her bed. Even messy, her long blonde hair still managed to look nice. "Is it not Saturday?" She asked. I shook my head, grabbing my towel.
"Nope. Friday. I'm gonna shower. Don't you dare go back to sleep!" I said. Hanna rubbed her eyes and got up on her feet. "Alright, alright." She yawned.
I grabbed a skirt, and a polka dot shirt that I had bought a couple days ago in New York. I usually didn't wear skirts, but this seemed like the perfect type of weather to wear one. I entered the shower hoping Hanna didn't go back to sleep. It's always hard to get her out of bed. She loves to sleep as much as I do. Just one more day and it'll be the weekend, and a couple of more days until Louis gets back. I missed my Lou. Which reminds me- I hadn't checked my phone. Maybe he called last night.
Once I got out of the shower, and got ready for the day, I went to find my phone. It was under my pillow with a notification of a voice mail.
"Hey love. I know you're probably asleep- But I'm sorry I didn't call earlier. I was out with a friend. I'll explain later. 'Call you in the afternoon. I promise. I love you. I hope you're dreaming of me."
And then the voice mail ended. I suppose I'll be waiting once again. Hanna was still getting dressed when I was leaving for my first class of the day. She's usually late, but her talent usually makes up for it when it comes to the teaches getting angry.
The day seemed to be going by slower and slower. The bright sun hit my face, warming me. It was such a beautiful day. Along the campus on the grass, dozens of students sat. Some played guitars, other were inspired and painted or sketched. Sometimes I felt as if in the midst of being with Louis- I had forgotten how great this place really is. I was given the opportunity to fly across the country and educate myself even further on one of the things I loved most. I don't think I've really given myself a chance to really feel at home. There are so many people here that understand and share the same dreams and aspirations. I feel as if I've dismissed everything and lost my concentration.
I go to classes to get through them. I miss class. I screw up assignments. The internship was my goal- and now I feel as if I've forgotten. My concentration has been on love, and on Louis, but I really do love him. Maybe I've made London about Louis and I've taken this summer for granted.
"There you are." Adam said.
"Oh- Hey." I replied.
"What's with the long face?" He asked. I shrugged my shoulders. "What do you mean?"
"You look like you just had to flush your goldfish down the toilet." He chuckled.
"Adam, no. I'm fine. See?" I grinned widely, and he gave me a questionable look.
"I don't trust you, I can see your wisdom teeth." He said. I rolled my eyes, "I don't have wisdom teeth"
Lunch was almost over, and my next class we had together. "You can talk to me you know." He said as we began walking. "No, I can't." I replied. "Why not?" He looked at me with his hazel eyes. Sometimes I didn't know if he was being sincere or not.
