Chapter Twenty: Finding Scott

It's been one week since what happened in Scott's house and I haven't seen him since. He didn't come to school, I thought of going to his house, but then I remember his parents and I am not sure if I could see them without Scott by my side. Ohh, there still is that man that I have no idea of who he was.

I was going to the cafeteria with Jenna and Sarah when I noticed Nick and James talking in a corner. They weren't definitely having a nice conversation, they look pretty angry, specially James.

-Hey girls, you can go without me, I just need to do something and I'll go to the cafeteria.

They looked confused but nodded and start walking again. I am going to find out what the hell is happening, but mostly I am going to find out where in this world is Scott.

-James? Nick?

I got there attention when I called there names. Yup, I was right, they do look angry.

-Do you know where Scott is?

They look at each other and then turned there heads back to me.

-He is fine Grace.-Nick answered me with a surprising calm voice.

-Okay, but do you know where he is? Can I see him?

-He doesnt want to see you.-Now James looks angry and annoyed.

-Well I want to listen to him say that, so do any of you know where I can find Scott?

If James want to be rude I can be rude too. I have this feeling that James wont tell me but maybe Nick will, at least he doenst look that rude like his friend.

-There is no away I am going to tell you.

I rolled my eyes at what James said and turned my head to Nick, hopping he would tell me where I can find Scott.

-Sorry Grace, but I can't tell you either.

Nick looked down and the two of them left. For a second it really looked like Nick was going to tell me but he didnt.

However, if they think I am going to give up that easily they are so wrong. I am going to find Scott, I need to find him.

Leaving school I saw James and Nick talking again, they were talking against Jame's bike. I went to a car who was close and pretend to be on my phone, while listenning to their conversation.

-She is not going to give up, James, maybe we should tell her where Scott is. Maybe she will help him, maybe...-Nick was cut by James.

-So what is your plan Nick, go to her and tell that Scott is in the woods, in the lake? You know he goes there when he needs to be alone, sending her there it wont help him.

So Scott is in the woods, but wait in a lake? The only lake I know in the woods, is a small lake and no one goes there anymore, the last time I went there I was probably ten.

The funny thing is that James was the one who didnt want to tell me where Scott is but ended up telling me everything I needed.

I am almost in the lake, god I havent been in this part of the woods for so long. I remember when I was a kid my parents used to take me to the lake and we would have some picnics, I wish I didnt stop coming to the lake, it is so beautiful there.

Maybe this is Scott's favourite spot, his secret spot, the place where he can find peace. I hope he is still here. I need to talk to him, to see him, to be sure that he is okay.

When I got to that lake I looked around to try the find him and when spotted him near the water on his knees, with his back turned to me, I went to him.

-Scott?-I put a hand on his shoulder when I called him.

He jumped, scared, and then turned to look at me.

-AHHH, WHAT THE FU...
