Chapter Twenty-Two: Two Angels, One Demon

I am still shocked, I can't believe Scott was my first kiss, I can't believe he is my mysterious guy. God he has been keeping so many secrets from me, what else has he been hidding from me?

-Wait, you are the mysterious guy? The one who kissed me on New Year's Eve? And the one who has been texting me?

Scott nodded to all my questions. But is it true?? Well thinking about it, this really looks like something he would do, besides the kiss we just had really proves me that he was in fact the man who kiss that night.

I am still in shocked, never in a million years, I would think that Scott and mysterious guy were the same person but here we are now.

-Okay...why?

-Why what?-he asked me confused.

-Why did you do that? Why did you kiss me and kept it a secret?

-I-I was nervous...I didnt know if you also wanted to kiss me because I really wanted to kiss you...I guess I was scared.-Is his cheeks getting a little red?

-Ohh

-Ohh thats all you have to say Grace?

-I dont really now what to say.

It's true, I have no idea of what to think or say. This is so confusing.

-Are you mad because I kissed you that night?

Am I mad?

-No, not mad. I am just a little sad for you keeping that as a secret, I guess.-He nodded.

-Are you still scared of him...you know because of...who I am?

-I dont know if I am scared or not, I dont think I am, however I have this feeling that I am not sure if you'll try to hurt me or not.

When Scott heard me saying those words, his eyes looked at the ground and his body tensed. When he looked up again, and his eyes met mine I could see determination and sincerity on them.

-I get that you are saying that probably because of the stories your family has told you, but I would never hurt you, Gracie.

-Yeah maybe that's it, I am sorry Scott I didn't mean to offend you or something. 

-I know that, oh and just for the record this is all new to me too.

-New angel  and new demon in town.-we both laugh at that.

-Hey can I ask you one more question?

-Sure.-I told him.

-Are you disappointed for finding out that I am the mysterious?

Disappointed? Disappointed?

-No, definitely not.-He gave me a big smile.

-Really? I thought you would prefer that  pretty boy.

-Pretty boy? Ohh you mean Ben. I guess that after what happened we can only be friends.

-Good because I really need to tell you something about him, he...

-GRACE!! GRACE!!

Scott was interrupted by someone screaming my name, someone who looks like is trying to find me.

-Grace, thank god I found you. Get away from him he is dangerous.

-Ben? What are you doing here?

-He is dangerous Grace, get away from him, you dont know what he is.

-She knows pretty boy.-Scott said to Ben.

-What? You told her?-Ben asked Scott, he looks really confuse, just like me.

-Yeah I told her, I am not like you.

-Guys can you tell me what's going on, because I am really confused right now.

They look at each other, it looks like they are having a conversation but not using words, instead of them, they are using their eyes. Today is being such a long and confuse day.

-Ben "pretty boy" Ward right here it's an angel, just like you Grace.

Wait what?

An angel?

Ben is an angel?

Just like me?

-Hold on you are an angel?-I asked Ben and he nodded.

-Why didn't you tell?

-I-I tried Grace, I swear I did, but it's not easy. Remember all those conversations about angels and that book, I  was giving you hints, but I guess you never got them.

The book. Those conversations about believing in angels. God I am so stupid, how did I never realise that? How could I never realise that Ben is just like me?

-Ohh...I never thought of that, I am so stupid.

-It's okay, now that you know the truth about me, will you come with me?

-Wait a minute, come with to where?

-Somewhere safe, somewhere far away from him.-Ben said pointing to Scott.

-She is safe with me, she was never in danger with me, but we cant say the same about you can we Bennie?

-It's Ben, and the date night I had my reasons to go, I would never put her in danger, never. Grace please let's go.

-Please Grace stay with me.

I guess that they both are asking me to choose between them. They are asking me to choose who I want to be with and for the first time I know exactly who I want to stay with.
