-Are we almost there?-I asked my dad.
-Almost, just a few more minutes.
My parents and I were travelling to my grandmother's house to spend the weekend with her. Apparently it seems that she is sick and my dad thought it was the best if we went there, my mom and I agreed since she lives alone and that she is not exactly young.
I am felling very nervous about metting my grandmother, she is a very strict and serious person, totally different from my dad and my grandfather. But I guess she was always like this, even when my grandpa was alive she was like that, while he was such a happy and funny person, just like my dad.
-We are here.-Dad said.
I haven't come in my grandparents house for a long time, it still looks the same. The same house that my grandparents bought when they got marry, the same house where my dad was raised and lived for a long time before married my mom, the same house where my grandpa died.
He was such a lovely person, I really miss my grandfather, I remember the multiple times he made me laugh and always gave me more sweets that I actually was allowed to have but when I was 13 I lost him, I lost one of the people that I loved the most in my life.
My mom rang in the doorbell and my grandmother opened the door.
-Hi mom.
-Hello John. Hello Eleanor. Nice to see you.
-Hi Rose.-my mom said with a smile.
My grandma then looked at me, it was more like she was looking at me from head to toe. I hate when she does that, it always looks like she is trying to find something in me that she doesnt like, it's so uncomfortable.
My dad gave a sign to talk to my grandmother.
-Hi grandma Rose.
-Hello Grace, you look...
Oh God, here it goes.
-...different. You grown up a lot since the last time I saw you.
That wasnt bad.
-Yeah, thanks.
After that it was an awkward silence between us, its always like that specially between my grandma and me, its always awkward when we see each other, well its awkward now, after my grandpa died.
-So lets go inside.-dad said and we all get inside.
-How are you Rose?
-I am better Eleanor, thank you for asking.
-Are you sure you are okay, mom?
-Yes John, I am good. You didnt have to come here, I said I was good.
-Well we didnt see you at Christmas and you were felling sick we thought it was the perfect time to spend some time togheter.
-I can take care of myself, and about the Christmas dinner I didnt went, well, you know I dont celebrate Christmas anymore.
-I told you before and I am saying it again, that's ridiculous, I mean you still have a family.
My grandmother stopped walking and focus her attention on some photos that were on a wall in the living room. There were photos of my dad has a kid with my grandparents, some photos of my dad, my grandparents, my parents, of me, my parents with me, my grandparents and me, and the one that she was looking, a photo of me, my parents and my grandparents at my birtday party when I was eight.
-It's not the same.
She gave her cold voice and no one dared to say anything else.
-Well you know your rooms so you can unpack your bags, I will start on the dinner.
I went to my room, I mean my dad's old room.
In my parents house they only have three bedrooms, my grandma's room, my dad's room and the guest room.
I had to saty in my dad's old room because this was the only single room in the house, since the guest room is a bedroom with a bed for a couple, my parents stay on it.
Looking at the bedroom its not really bad, I mean it could be much worst, since the last person who used this bedroom was a teenager boy I actually thought it would be worst.
My dad really liked dark blue, his bed is dark blue, his carpet is dark blue, the same happens with the curtains. The walls had a few posters from movies like The Breakfast Club, St.Elmo's Fire and Footloose. There was also some posters from my dad's favourite singers and bands like Michael Jackson, The Rooling Stones and The Beatles.
It was actually a really nice room.
-Okay lets unpack.

We were now having dinner and it was still an awkward silence between all of us, until dad decided to break the silence.
-Hey mom do you know that Grace is already an angel?
-I thought so, since she is already 17.
Still an awkward silence.
-I hope you will be an excellent angel Grace.-grandma said.
-I...I...I think I am just going to keep being me. I dont think I need to change who I am.
-You need to change. Everyone changes.
-Mom, please stop, dont scare her. Dont listen to her sweetheart.
-You should prepare her for the real world we live in,John, the world with angels and demons. Afterall your father died because of those creatures, those demons.
-WHAT????
-You heard me Grace. Your grandfather died because of a demon.
