Chapter Eighteen: The English Partner

-I am so tired.

-We can see that Jenna but who told to stay up until late talking to Aiden.-I told her laughing.

-It's not funny. I am tired but it was worthy.-Jenna said with a small smile.

-Yeah right.-Sarah said with a smirk and the three of us started to laugh really hard.

We were having lunch at Joe's and talking about Jenna's love life. I swear this girl was made for Aiden they are perfect for each other and she is so happy.

We were talking and laughing when the door of the diner opened and we saw three guys coming in. Those three guys were James, Nick and Scott.

Scott and I looked at each other and surprisingly he gave me a small smile and went to sit on a table with his friends.

I think that since that day of my date with Ben, my relationship with Scott grew stronger and we are closer than before, I actually think I can call him my friend.

-Hold on, was it just me or Scott-Bad Boy-Meyers smiled at you, miss Grace?-Sarah asked me.

-Hmm...he smiled yes, but...it was just a smile.

-We are talking about Scott just a smile is a big thing.-Jenna said and Sarah nodded.

-Oh stop it.

-Oh cmon Grace you never told us how was your afternoon with Scott yesterday.-Jenna said.

-Yes we want to know everything.-Sarah agreed.

-There is nothing to say. I helped him with his homework thats it.

-Nothing else happened?-Jenna asked me raising her eyebrow.

-Nothing.

My friends nodded their heads and didnt say anything else but I knew they werent convinced about it.

I looked at his table and he was looking at me, great now I feel my cheeks getting hotter I must look like a tomato, but to be honest I kinda like it the fact he was looking at me.

I dont know what I am feeling about Scott but I like this feeling.

-Alright class, you are finally going to do a project in pairs and I know that every year I am the one who chooses the pairs, however this year, I am going to let you choose who you want to work with.

Wow thats new, Mrs. Anderson never lets the students choose who they want to work with, because she says that the pairs are not well balanced. 

I am thinking of who I am going to work with, I mean my friends are not in this class with me and I dont talk to a lot of other people in this class. Oh maybe I could stay with Scott, I mean we are like friends now right? Maybe we could be togheter.

-Okay choose your pairs.-Mrs.Anderson said.

I start looking around to see if I see Scott but I stopped when I felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked at the person.

-I was thinking that we could stay togheter?

-Scott?!?! You want to be my partner?-I asked him shocked, I wasnt sure if he wanted to stay with me.

-Sure, but do you want to be my partner?

-Sure.-I said and we both smile.

I like when he simles, he definitely looks better when his face has a smile on it.

-Okay so we are togheter.-he said.

-Yes we are.

And then we looked at each other in the eyes for a few seconds but it looked like years.

-So you and Scott are partners in english?

-God Jenna you scared me, and yes he is my partner.

I was in my locker changing my books when Jenna suddenly appeared behind me.

-How do you know that?-I asked her.

-Well everyone is talking about it.

-Everyone???

-Yes everyone. Its not that surprisng that people are talking about.

-Why?-I dont see a reason for people talk about it.

-Because Scott Meyers and Grace Collins are doing a school project togheter and thats not normal, at all.

-Its not a big deal.

-Yes it is Grace. Who asked who?

-What?

-OMG Grace who asked who to be partners with?

-He asked me.-I answered her with a small voice.

-OMG!!

-Stop screaming Jenna, like I said its not a big deal.

-Of course it is, do you know what this means?

-What?

-That he likes you.

-No he doesnt.

-Yes it does my dear friend, trust me I can see when a guy likes a girl and it seems to me that you got the most mysterious guy in school to like you.

-I dont think he likes me.

-Lets wait and see.

I was now walking home alone thinking about my conversation with Jenna. 

Is she right?

Does Scott really likes me?

Did he really asked me to be his partner because he has feellings for me?

I am so confused right now. I dont know what to do or what to think.

My thoughts were interrupted by my phone buzzing, telling me I have a new message.

"So it is interesting who you chose to be your english partner!"

Wait is the New Year's Eve guy again. Why he keeps texting me. This time i decided to answer him.

"How do you know who my partner is?"

"Well everyone in our schools nows it, so why wouldnt I? Goodnight Grace."
