Chapter 2

Hayes POV:

I laid on my bed looking up at my ceiling thinking about wether I should text Hailey or not.

I finally decided I would man up and text her.

Me: hey :)

Hailey: hi :)

Me: r u doing anything later?

Hailey: no. Why?

Me: I was wondering maybe you wanna come to starbucks with me and just talk And get to know each other better? :)

Hailey: Sure :) what time?

Me: 5:30?

Hailey: ya that will work :)

Me: great! I'll pick you up from your house and we can walk to starbucks. It only 5 minutes away.

Hailey: ok i will see you then.

I locked my phone then threw it on the bed. Nash has football practice from 5:00 to 7:30 so he won't know. Score! Hayes 1 and Nash 0. It's only 3:30 so I decide to film a few vines. Then I get dressed and put on some colongne. I walk downstairs to find my mom washing dishes in the kitchen.

"Look who's all handsome." mom said.

"Moooommmm" I groaned.

"Where you going? A date?" She said as she smiled.

I felt my cheeks go red.

"No mom I'm not." I said rolling my eyes.

"Awwww my little baby is growing up so fast." She said squealing.

I ran out of the house before she could say anything else and went over to Hailey's.

Actually I don't even know what to call this. Was it a date? I want to call it a date because we just met.

Hailey's POV:

Hayes texted me and told me that we were going to starbucks. I jump in the shower and decide to wear yoga pants, a longsleeve blue v-neck shirt, and my black uggs. It's now time for him to pick me up. I waited patiently for him to arrive. There is a knock at the door. I opened up the door to reveal hayes standing there looking all handsome. Wait handsome? We just met.

"Hey. You ready?" He said.

"Yep." I say popping the p.

We walked out of the house and down the long driveway.

"So do you know what school you are going to?" Hayes asked me.

"Yeah my mom told that I'm going to Davidson Day. Do you know where that is?" I said to him.

"Yay! We are going to the same school!" Hayes said pumping his fists in the air to celebrate.

I laughed at his reaction.

"So.... Race Ya." Hayes said.

"It's on Grier." I said with a smirk.

I started running along the long sidewalk.

I ran and ran as fast as my little legs could take me.

I looked behind me and saw that Hayes was a couple feet behind me.

I turned back around and ran into a lamp post before I could stop myself.

Typical me.

I felt dizzy and I started to lose my balance. I felt myself sway back and forth and then I fell onto the ground.

My head was throbbing with pain and my vision was getting blurrier by the minute.

"Hailey!" I heard Hayes yell.

The last thing I remember seeing is Hayes running up to me with a look of terror and tears on his face.

Then everything went black.
