Stuck In Between [hayes grier]

Chapter 24

Hailey's POV:

I woke up and I realized it was a Saturday. I walked into the kitchen and my mom was making pancakes.

"Good Morning honey." She said smiling.

"Morning." I said grabbing a plate and getting some pancakes.

"So do you have anything planned for today?" She asked me.

"No. Why?" I said.

"Well I thought that I might some people over." She said.

"Who?" I said

" You will just have to see. They will be here in an hour, so go get ready." She said.

I went up to my room and got dressed. I kept freaking out on who it was going to be. Hopefully it is not Hayes.

I decided to just go on my phone and wait. But, I ended up falling asleep for a little bit.

When I woke up it was already 12:30 in the afternoon. Dang I took a long nap.

I heard voices downstairs so I walked out. I looked around and there they were standing. Mikalya and Aaron, my closet friends I have probably ever had were standing right in front of me. I haven't seen them since I first moved here.

"Omg guys I haven't seen you in forever! I missed you guys so much!" I said tackling them both in a big hug.

"Yeah we missed you too." Aaron said laughing.

I looked into the kitchen and saw their parents talking with my mom.

"So where's Jordan?" I asked them looking around for him

"He is in California with his girlfriend." Mikalya said.

Just then more people walked in. Natasha and Nick with their family. Then Samantha and Jake with their family. I attacked all of them into a hug.

" I missed all of you guys so much." I said.

"We missed you too." They said.

Last time I saw all of them was when I lived in Chicago. Mikayla is now 15. Aaron is now 18. Samantha is now 18. Natasha is now 16. Nick is now 20. Jake is now 15.

We all decided to go down to the basement and just talk. Each of us sat on the couch. I sat between Nick and Aaron. I leaned onto Aaron and put my legs across Nick's lap to get more comfortable.

"So. What's new with you?" Natasha asked.

"Well nothing really. But I'm playing hockey like usual, and me and Hayes.... well we kind of broke up." I said.

I felt Aaron tense up as I said those last words.

"That son of bitch is going to get it-" Aaron said getting cut off by me.

" Aaron! You don't have to worry about it. It's over with." I said turning to look at him.

"I swear to god if that boy comes near you ever again, I am going to beat the living hell out of him." Aaron said putting his arm around my waist.

It didn't feel right when he put his arm there, but I just relaxed.

" Yeah. Me too." Nick said clenching his fist.

"Guys it's already over with." I said looking at both of them.

It was silent for a little bit but then I broke it.

" So what about you Sam?" I said.

"Well I finished high school, and I have a boyfriend. That's pretty much it." Samantha said.

We all just sat there talking about our lives for another hour.

Then the basement door opened. I couldn't believe who it was. The guy I haven't talked too for 3 weeks.

It was Hayes.
