Chapter 18

Hailey's POV:

I woke up and I grabbed my phone. I looked and I got a reminder that girls hockey team tryouts were today at 11:00.

I looked at the time.

It was already 10:00.

"SHIT!!" I yelled

Hayes instantly shot up from bed and looked around.

"What! What happened?! Are you hurt?!" He said worried

I laughed at his face. It was priceless!

"NO BUT HOCKEY TRYOUTS ARE AT 11 AND ITS 10. I NEED YOU TO DRIVE ME!!" I said already getting dressed

"Really that was it." He said

"YEAH NOW GET READY OR ELSE." I said

"Okay. Okay." He said jumping up from bed.

I grabbed my gear and we walked out to the car.

He dropped me off because he said he had to go do things.

I got to the locker room and put my gear on and went out on the ice.

The boys and girls were trying out at the same time because it was going to be a girls and boys team.

I started to practice and I made every shot.

Then the goalie took off his mask. It was a guy with light brown hair and green eyes that looked about 18, my age.

"You play really good, and I mean really good for a girl." He said

"Thanks. I'm Hailey by the way." I said

"Daniel." He said and put his mask back on

I skated over to the girls bench and got some water.

"He totally likes you." I heard a girl say which I soon learned that her name was Abby.

"Nah." I said

"Yah I could see it in his eyes." She said

"I have a boyfriend." I said

"Oh well." She said then skated onto the ice.

Tryouts went pretty well and I think that I have a good chance that I made the team.

I got changed and grabbed my bag and walked out of the locker room and walked down the hallway.

I heard my name being called behind me.

"Hailey! Wait up!" The voice said

I turned around and saw that it was Daniel.

"Yeah? What's up?" I said

"I was wondering if I could get your number?" He said scratching the back of his neck

"Yeah. Sure." I said and gave him my number

I was about to walk away but he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into a hug. I was surprised at first but then I hugged back. We broke the hug.

"Bye." I said and walked out of the building to find Hayes.

I looked around the parking lot and I couldn't find Hayes.

Then I felt to strong hands grabbed onto my waist.

I jumped and turned around and it was Hayes.

"You scared me!" I said

He laughed.

" that was the plan." He said and grabbed my hand and led me to the car.

He started the car and stared to drive somewhere that I didn't know of.

"Hayes where are we going?" I asked

"To the Hotel where the boys are." He said

The boys. I almost forgot that they were still here.

I got an email from the coach that was at the tryouts earlier and it was a list of people that made the team. I read the list and I found my name, and Daniel's.
