Hush little baby

Chapter 5

  "W-What? How? What about your parents? Aren't we too young? Do you have enough space for me? I don't want to bother you I-" He put his finger up to my mouth.

  "Angel, don't worry about that stuff. I live on my own so you don't have to worry about parents, and I'm not just gonna let you stay on the streets." I nodded my head, taking deep breaths. This all has gone so fast. These past couple of days have been life changing, and I'm hoping it's for the better not the worse.

"But I-" He cut me off again.

"No buts, come on and let's go before your parents come looking for you." I nodded my head, and followed him to his car.

Now that I think of it this whole situation is really weird. I mean I hardly know him yet I'm following him to his car. I hardly know him yet I already call him my daddy and he calls me his angel. I hardly know him, yet if feels like I know everything about him.

"Ok, once we get in the place you can set your stuff wherever ok Angel?" I nodded my head groggily, as I fell asleep on the car ride to his place.

We got to the place and it was an apartment building, not just any apartment building though. It looked really, really nice.

"Waaa..." I stepped through the door, and it was even better looking inside,

"I-I thought you said you didn't live with your parents?" He rubbed my head.

"I don't." I set my bag down, but I almost felt that if I did so I would ruin the beautifulness of the house.

"Then how can you afford.. this?" He shrugged his shoulders.

"My job covers for it I guess." What job can a high schooler have that gives him this kind of place.

"What's your job?" I really wanted to know because he must have to work really long hours or something.. but even then.

"Umm.. lets get some of your stuff into my room ok? Then we can take a nap." He picked up my stuff and started walking to a room, I followed him.

"Then we can go shopping for some clothes, and toys and anything you want ok?" He opened a door and walked into a big room. There was a giant bed on one side of the room, and a desk and dresser on the other.

"O-Ok." I found it weird that he didn't answer me, but I'll just ask him again some other time.

He cleared out half of his closet and a drawer of his dresser out for me. He was being so nice, how could I repay him?

"We'll fill it up when we go shopping, but for now it's been a long day for you so let's just take a nap ok?" I nodded my head.

I laid down, and curled up into a ball. Daddy got into bed with me and pulled me close to him. My heart at this point was beating so quickly. I've never been so close to someone like this before.

"Calm down, I can feel your heart beating a mile a minute." I gulped.

"Sorry, I guess I'm just a little nervous." Daddy snuggled his head into the side of my neck.

"It's ok baby, nothing to be nervous about. Get some rest angel." I closed my eyes, and breathed in daddy's scent. He smelled of pine and citrus. I fell asleep soon enough though. I breathed in daddy's scent one more time and sunk into a dreamless dream.
