I'm actually going on a mission. I wonder what it's gonna be like. I wonder if it's gonna be like spy kids, do we get cool gadgets?

My smile dropped when I remember what daddy said.

"I kill people!"

No, no no. I'm not killing anyone. I'm not picking up any weapon or even witnessing anything.

I pulled my hand out of daddy's grasp stopping in my tracks.

"What's wrong, we have to go." I shook my head.

"I'm not killing anyone." He sighed.

"You're not going to kill anyone now come on." When I didn't move he picked me up, and didn't even flinch when I started to wriggle around, trying to get out of his grasp.

  "Hey, aren't you the one that wanted to come with me in the first place?" I stopped moving and nodded.

  "Well you go your wish." He kept talking while walking. "You're not gonna kill anyone, and I'm gonna make sure you're safe I promise." I put my head down on his shoulder, not saying anything.

  He sighed and walked into an office room. A mean lady sat at a desk, giving a stern look.

Maybe she never saw a rainbow before, that's why she's so angry.

Daddy set me down in a chair next to him, and the other guys, I'm assuming daddy's fellow workers sat at the other seats.

"Good, I see you're all here." She scanned across the room and her eyes landed on me.

I averted eye contact and looked down at my lap, suddenly feeling embarrassed in my blue overalls and paw patrol shirt.

"Who's this." I could feel her eyes glaring at me, I don't like it at all.

Daddy cleared his throat, and put his hand on my thigh reassuring me.

"This is Theo, he'll be coming with us. I promise he won't get in the way." Get in the way? It's not like I'm a bother am I?

I frowned down at my lap, my heart feeling heavy and ashamed.

"If he can't come, I'm not coming on the mission ma'am and I'm pretty sure I'm a vital point to the plan." I heard the lady sigh and she carried on talking.

"Anyways, this mission is very important. I'm trusting you all to not mess up." There were various grunts of 'yes ma'am' around the room.

"It is your duty to make sure the job is done, correctly and efficiently and there is nothing left behind."

I almost laughed when she said duty. I held it in though, knowing daddy probably wouldn't be happy.

"Ma'am? How long do you think the mission will take?" One of the guys spoke up from the chair next to daddy.

"However long it takes for you to do the job! Should it matter! This is your only priority right now!" The lady's voice was loud and booming, she really needs a snickers.

I giggled to myself, not realizing that everyone else could hear.

"Is there something funny, boy?" I looked up at her, shaking my head no until I swore my head could fall off.

"You're all dismissed, do the job right or it's your lives." My eyes widened. Please tell me she was just joking.

When we walked out of the office I pulled daddy's sleeve.

"She kiddin right? You know bout' takin you live?" He gave me a small smile.

"Don't worry about it bud ok?" I bit my lip, not wanting to push him any farther.

We walked outside to multiple cars, I'm assuming for us as some of the guys got in them.

Daddy and I got in one, along with another guy.

"Daddy where we goin?" I yawned, wanting to take a nap.

"Hotel baby." I leaned my head against his shoulder, closing my eyes. Hopefully that awful lady doesn't show up in my dreams. That would be the scariest dream ever.

There's shooting everywhere, and I can't find daddy. I keep on running, but I don't know where to.

"Daddy?!" I look around, tears clouding my vision.

"Daddy where are you!?" I hear more gun shots and screams of men and women.

"Daddy I'm scared! Where are you?!" I stopped running and squatted down, putting my head between my knees.

"Daddy..." The gunshots stop and I bring my head up.

"Theo!" I see daddy walking towards me and I quickly stand up, getting ready to run over to him.

"Daddy I-" A gunshot went off and Daddy stopped walking, falling to the ground. Red liquid oozed around him.

"No! Daddy!" I ran over to him.

"Daddy, wake up! Wake up please!" I kept shaking him, but he got really cold, flies started to swarm him.

"Get away! Get away from my daddy!" I swatted at the flies but one of them weirdly grew, it grew into a man.

The mans face looked weird. Something was off and I was filled with overwhelming fear.

"S-Stay away!" The man pulled out a gun, raising it towards his head, pulling the trigger.

I screamed, covering my eyes.

When I opened them again the man was replaced.. this time with my mom.

"Mom? W-Wha?" She cut me off, she looked angry.

"GO BACK TO HELL, YOU ARE NO SON OF MINE!" Her voice was loud and booming, hurting my ears. I covered them not wanting to hear her cursing me to hell, telling me I'm the spawn of Satan.

Her face then started to melt, horrifyingly. Her eyes slipped down her face, her skin turning into melted licorice.

"Mom!"

Followed by the melting of her face she was replaced with Callum.

"Daddy!" I stood up but he pointed to the floor. I looked down and his once dead corpse was replaced with my own body. Blood oozing out of me instead, a gunshot in the back of me.

I shook my head, confused.

"I'm right here though, I'm not dead!" The corners of his mouth pointed up into a wicked grin as he pointed the gun at me.

"Daddy? What are you doing?" His finger slowly inched closer to the trigger, closer, closer, closer.

BAM

~~~~
"THEO!" I shot upright, my throat hurting.
We were still in a car, and daddy looked worried. It was all a dream, a horrible dream.
"Daddy..." my voice was weak and cracky.
My cheeks were wet with tears, and more ran down my face to join the others.
"Baby what happened?" I shook my head, not wanting to bring up the events of the dream. It's all so confusing and terrifying. And it all felt so real.
"B-Bad dream." I stated. Daddy gave my thigh a squeeze, as if to tell me that he's there. He didn't push nor ask anymore questions, sensing that I didn't want to talk.
The other guy in the car looked confused, and I don't blame him. I looked over towards the window opting not to fall back asleep, convinced that if I do the dream will come back again.
Trees flew past, and I played a little game of trying to count them even though it was impossible with the speed the car was going.
This went on for miles and miles. I haven't seen one building yet either.
Theo, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore.
