It was 5 AM and the young women of the Polar Bear Club met at the lake. Leaving their towels on the dock they dove into the cold water splashing and swimming. A large gray and white dire wolf growled and watched from cover then dashed across the deck jumping and landing in the water near Aednat. "Ulfy!" Aednat said laughing as she grabbed her wolf around its thick neck pulling herself on its back. Rosemary grabbed the tail as the wolf dragged them through the water.
"I don't know what's more fun," Rosemary said, "Swimming naked with the fish, or almost getting caught." Aednat laughed.
"Almost getting caught is more fun by a long shot!" Aednat said laughing. She wore on her neck the Pendant. She knew it had powerful magic, but she no idea how to use it or even what kind of magic it controlled.
The malignant eyes of the seers were searching for her. They found her from across time and space as she swam with her wolf. "Tell the Overlord the girl now holds the 'Pendant of Time'," they hissed.
