All of us know that love can be the best thing ever, or a reason to smack your head against a wall every day. It is something that requires constant work and attention, something that needs two people.
But sometimes that love is not returned.
Being a proud member of the unrequited love club, I know exactly how hard it is to give everything to someone and expect nothing back. The object of my affections had no clue how I felt despite everyone else seeming to know, and they are still in the dark. This is due to my cowardly self and the knowledge that nothing will ever happen.
The girl in this book, Clara Page, knows exactly what this pain feels like too. But with a hilarious and caring best friend, she struggles on through. Something that she tries to keep hold of, is the ability to love herself. A love that should never be unrequited.
I want all of you out there, to try everyday to love yourselves no matter how long it may take and the struggles that you will always face. I will join you in this journey!
xx
Love, Jodie Louise.
(P.s) - I hope you love this book as much as I do and keep smiling no matter how hard it may seem at first!
