(Calum's POV)
"Hey, it's for you." Michael walked to me giving me the phone.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hi, Calum. It's Amber. Sorry if I bother you! Listen, why did you run away like that yesterday?" The voice from the phone said.
"Hey. Oh, sorry, I... I suddenly remembered I had... some stuff to do." I lied.
"Okay, I was really worried." She whispered.
I rolled my eyes to Michael who was still near me.
"Yeah, okay."
"So what are you guys doing? Is everything ok?"
"Yup, I guess."
"Do you guys wanna hang out?"
I rolled my eyes as Ashton came in and sat next to me. I wanted to refuse but Michael nodded telling me to accept.
"Mmkay." I said shortly.
"Great! I'm gonna go upstairs and tell Hannah so see you at your place in, like, an hour?"
I got it why Michael told me to accept so I winked to him.
"Okay. Bye." I answered.
I didn't really know how to feel. I'm going to see Hannah so I'm happy. But anyway, our conversation yesterday wasn't really good so I'm not sure what kind of relationship are we having. Are we friends? Or not? And that sentence I'm not saying that I don't hate you... what does it even mean?
Maybe she won't even come with Amber. She'll stay at home.
Ugh. I'm thinking too much about it.
About ten minutes after my phone rang again.
"Hello?" I said.
"Calum! C-Calum! She's laying on the f-floor. She's laying on the floor and t-there's blood everywhere!" Someone shouted and I recognized it was Amber again.
"What? Amber, what are you talking about? Who's laying on the floor?!" I asked nervously.
"H-Hannah, she is... her wrists are full of bloody s-scars..." Amber started crying.
"WHAT? AMBER! CALL 911 RIGHT NOW!" I shouted as I walked out of my room.
"I did. They're taking her to the hospital. Calum, can you come, I don't want to go there alone..."
"I'm on my way!" I gulped.
-
30 minutes passed since when we came to the the emergency room. Amber was sitting and crying, and I was nervously walking left and right. Finally, a doctor walked towards us.
"Dear Lord, is she fine? Tell me she's fine!" Amber stood up quickly.
"Miss Scott is fine now. She has lost pretty much blood although the scars weren't really deep. She's resting in this room now." The doctor said pointing at a door behind him.
"Can we go see her?" I asked.
"Fine." The doctor nodded. "But just for a few minutes."
Amber and I ran into the room.
"Hanns, what the hell? Do you want to give me a heart attack or something?!" Amber whispered as she sat on the edge of Hannah's bed.
She didn't even look at her.
"I need some water. Please keep an eye on her until I come back." Amber said after a few minutes of silence.
I was still standing next to the door.
"So, Hannah..." I cleared my throat. "Can I help you? Can you tell me why you did this to yourself?"
Silence.
"Do I have anything to do with this?" I asked.
Silence again.
"Okay, so I don't get it. You... you act nice and everything and then suddenly you're weird and sassy. You don't want to explain anything and you say weird things... Hannah, please. Say something." I begged.
But again, she didn't say anything.
I needed something to make her speak. Something that would make her say what's actually happening with her.
My tongue was faster than my mind so I crossed my arms over my chest and whispered "Well, you're probably just one of those attention seekers."
Her eyes went wider as she finally looked at me. What I said was pretty rude. But it might make her start talking.
"Leave." She whispered.
"What?" I asked.
"Leave. Now." She repeated.
"So you're not going to defend yourself? Even just..." I started talking but she cut me off.
"Get out of here! Now!" She shouted.
Well, I didn't expect that.
I slowly made a step back and left.
