“I can’t believe we’ve been married sixteen years,” Nathan said in my ear, wrapping his arms around me.
“It’s flown by,” I whispered back, turning my face to meet his. He kissed me until we were interrupted.
“Get a room you two,” my daughter, Chloe, yelled at us, “Justin’s going to be here soon.”
“Chloe, I realize you’re excited for your and Justin’s first date, but I’m talking to him first,” Nathan said, causing Chloe to groan and me to roll my eyes.
“You think you’d trust him. He’s Tom and Amy’s son.”
“That’s exactly why I do not trust him. He’s related to Tom.”
“Shut up, he’s here!” Our doorbell rang, and I ran to intercept him before Nathan could.
“Hi Mrs. Sykes.”
“It’s nice to see you Justin. I’d say come in, but I think Nathan’s-”
“Listen here, I want her back by ten thirty at the latest, and if you touch her, I will have our entire fan girl base hunt you down and kill you, understand?” The band wasn’t together still, but it was hilarious how there were still thirty five year old fan girls. They had stopped when Nathan turned thirty, realizing that they all wanted to settle down more. I had Chloe about nine months after Nathan and I had gotten married. She was our little angel, and our only child. Probably why Nathan was so overly protective. Chloe burst through the door, practically knocking Nathan down.
“Bye daddy, bye mom.”
“See you later sweetie!”
“You have pepper spray in your purse next to your pads; don’t be afraid to use it!”
“Nathan,” I said, turning and smacking him in the stomach. Chloe was bright red and Justin put his head down and practically ran to his car. I shut the door and turned back to him.
“It’s so good to have some alone time with you again,” he said, stepping toward me, taking my face in his hands.
“You have no id-” I was cut off by his kiss. Life was sweet.
The End
A/n
I’m crying. I couldn’t write any more because it was hard enough for me to write this. My first story has come to an end, and I’d like to thank you all for everything. I’m at almost 1,500 reads. Holy crap. I remember getting to sixty and flipping out because I was so happy. You all are amazing. Thank you for putting up with the crap I’ve done, the random postings, the short chapters, all of it. Thank you.
