Chapter 16

I looked at Erick, his eyes still shut even though it's been an hour that he gave his kidney to Cyrus.

I looked up at the clock on the side and looked at the time. I looked back at Erick he should be awake by now.

Chris walked in with two takeaway cups of coffee, he walked over to me and handed me one. "He still isn't awake?"

I brought the coffee cup to my lips and took a sip. "No he hasn't."

"Don't you think he should be awake by now though?"Chris asked as he raised his eyebrow."It's been an hour or two."

"I know."I replied as I looked at Erick. "Just hopefully he'll wake up in a few."

"He's got to otherwise Joel can provide water for the droughts in Africa then."Chris said with a soft chuckle.

"Him and Joel have gone close haven't they?"

"Him and Joel have always been close, they call them Joerick but things happened and it's kinda distance them away."Chris explained as he looked at Erick. "To be honest, he's close with all of us but distances himself away."

"Why though?"

Chris shrugged his shoulders and took a sip of his coffee. "It's just been like that for a certain amount of time."

I took a hold of Erick's hand, his fingers intertwined with mine. I gave it a little squeeze. "He's my cuban cigar, he's going to wake up then me and him derseve a holiday to Costa Rica."

"Oooh Costa Rica sounds fun."Chris said as he wiggled his eyebrows.

Maluma walked in and stood at the edge of the bed, he first looked at Erick then looked at me and Chris. "They still are doing tests on Cyrus."

"I know, hopefully it'll work itself out."

Maluma looked at me and smiled. "First time positive patty."

I let out a soft chuckle and looked at him with a smile. "Not the first time, other things have come up positive in my life."

Chris and Maluma looked at me with seriously what the fuck? look. Maluma shook his head and looked at Chris, chris handed him his coffee.

Maluma took a sip and handed it back to him. "I'm going to go home and grab a shower, tell me what happens."

"Will do."

He walked over to me and we hugged then I pulled away from the hug. "Just make sure Royce is okay."

"Don't worry, I will."

"Thank you."

Him and Chris looked at each other and hugged then he left. Chris's phone started to ring, his ringtone was Barbie.

I looked at him, my cheeks flushed to the colour red trying my best to control my laugh. Chris pulled out his phone and looked at me. "Shut up, Jonathan is calling me."

"You are fucktard did you know that?"

"Tell me something I don't know."Chris said with a playful grin then answered his phone and walked outside.

I took another sip of my coffee, I looked at Erick to see his eyelashes fluttering.

"Erick?"

"Amal?"He said groggily, his eyes slowly opening up and he looked at the celling.

"Let me call the nurse."I said as I got up from the chair and pressed the button just above his bed.

"Just don't move."I said as I looked at him. "Just let them come."
