"You are lying."Chris said as he looked at Marie with so much hatred. "It doesn't make sense and you are a crazy physcopath."

Marie looked at me for a second then turned around to Chris. "Doesn't the silence show you that she believes it?"

"Why would she believe anything that comes out of your mouth for?"Chris said with a scoff. "You are the reason why her family were left in ruins, you caused the pain she felt over the years."

"How do you think she's feeling that you are saying this about her mother?"Marie said with her hands on her hip. "I wanted you far away from her as possible."

He let out a weird noise and looked at Marie ever so confidently. "Sorry, my bullshit detector detected bullshit."

"You caused her more pain than she'll ever feel in her life, you are the reason why she lost Alec, you are the reason why her real father is the way he is."Chris said as he looked at her dead in eye. "You are the reason why she lost her mother, you didn't care then so don't act to care right now."

"I tried my best to be there for her!"Marie said as she threw her hands in the arm. "But they wouldn't allow me."

"Wonder why."Chris added as he rolled his eyes at her.

She looked at him with a crazy expression on her face, her hands in her hair as she let out a growl ready to attack him.

"Don't!"I finally spoke up as I looked at her. "If you want to look out for me and be there for me then you know that Chris has always been that person for me so there was no reason for you to be and more reason why he shouldn't be hurt."

Marie turned around and looked at me, her hands moved to her sides and her face expression softened. "D-Do you mean you be-believe me?"

"I don't know at this moment because look how everything is."

"I'll u-untie you right now and we-we can have a proper con-conversation about things."Marie said frantically pacing up and down in the room.

She stopped in her tracks and looked at me, she held up her index finger. "But this is a trap, Chris is right you don't believe me."

"N-No."

Marie clicked her fingers then walked over to me with a smile on her face. "We'll talk later princess, let me just get rid of the poison."

Two thugs took Chris away as tears streamed down my face, I looked at Marie. "Please don't hurt him."

She looked at me then walked away leaving Mario following her, I kept on whispering don't hurt him as they left the room then the door shut leaving me and Kat in the room.

"He's going to be okay."Kat assured the both of us. "It's Chris for gosh sake."

"M-Mario gave me a phone."I said as I held it on my lap.

"Please don't call him Mario because that isn't him."She said as she let out a sigh.

"It is him Kat, I saw the scar on his hand the one he got when me and him were messing around in uncle's shed."I said as I looked at her. "It's him."

"It isn't."

I looked at her and let out sigh then looked down at the phone in my lap, okay how was I going to do this?

"How do you not know the phone thing is part of her plan?"Kat said as she looked at me.

"If it is, it is and if it isn't, it isn't."I said as I brought my face closer to my lap for my nose to tap the buttons.

"Are you sure that's going to work?"Kat asked as my nose tap the brick's phone keypad.

"Yes, the only number I remember properly is Maluma's."

"Why?"

"First time I arrived here, he was the first person I met and he got me the job at Sony."I explained as my nose tapped the last digit and I looked up and looked at Kat. "Then, he gave me his number as well I memorised it ever since that day. Without him helping me god knows where I would be right now thanks to him and Royce."

"That's why you are so close with them two."Kat said with a smile on her face. "At least, there is still nice people in this world."

"Yeah there is."

The ring went through. "Hello?"Maluma's voice boomed from the phone.

Oh fuck, it's on speaker.

"Mal?"I quietly said as I looked at brick phone hoping he would hear me.

"Amal?"He said with so much relief in his voice. "It's you, where did you disappear to?"

"Marie has got me, Kat and Chris. I don't know where she has us."

"How did you get a phone though?"

"It's a long story but I don't know how long I've got so do whatever you can to get us."

"How though?"

"Use your white collar skills, we never used to watch that for no reason."I said with a soft chuckle.

"True but you are okay aren't you?"

"I'm fine, Kat's fine but I don't know about Chris so you have to hurry."

"We will but the guys want to talk to you as well."

I could hear the footsteps of someone coming close to the door.

"I'll call later okay, someone is coming and I have to hide the phone don't I?"

"Yeah I know but I'm gunna find you and I'm gunna kill Marie the punta."Maluma said over the phone. "Don't care if she's your sister or not."

"Won't hold you back."

Then I quickly cut the call off and hid the phone in my thighs knowing no one would look there.

The footsteps stopped and turned back around, I let out a sigh of relief and looked at Kat.

She looked at me for a second then looked down at the floor.

"What she said, is it true?"I asked as I looked at her with a soft expression. "I have to know Kat."

Kat looked up and looked at me. "It is but there is so much that you don't know."

"Basically everyone lied to me? For my whole life?"

"It wasn't like that Amal, you don't understand, they kept it from you; for your benefit and they thought it was for the better."Kat explained as she let out a sigh. "They didn't want you to find out because truth hurts and this was going to kill you the most."

"But you all lied to me."

"But there is so much you don't understand about this whole situation."

"So make me understand then."

The door opened and Marie walked into the room with her hands on the hip with a smirk on her face. "Let me make my daughter understand."
