Chapter 28

He brought his lips onto mine, our lips moved into sync with each other. His hand placed on my cheek moved itself onto the nape of my neck.

Mas Alla from primeria cita came onto play, filling up the club and more people came onto the crowded dance floor and started to dance.

I looked at Chris, my mind suddnely realising that it was Chris and pulled away from the kiss.

He looked at me and blinked for a second, I looked at him my eyes brimmed with tears.

He reached for my hand and just about to say my name but I didn't give him a chance and ran out of the dance floor.

I pushed past so many people to get out of the club, I was driving so I could get home and them two are welcome to go and get a taxi home.

I pushed the door opened and ran out to see the sky was dark and the stars were out, I let out a sigh as tears streamed down my face.

I kissed Chris again.

No wait, in my defence he kissed me first however I kissed back didn't I?

Someone appeared in front of me, wearing a checkered blue shirt and jeans. His hair was done up in a quiff as I looked up to see his grey eyes.

His hands were in his pocket. "Are you okay?"

I took a step back, my vision came to blurry due to the tears. "G-Get away from m-me."

"Amal, please don't be like this."He spoke as he brought his hand. "Let me help you."

I blinked and rubbed my eyes, the blurry disappeared and I looked at his hand to see a scar on his palm.

I grabbed his hand without any warning and looked down at his palm at the scar, my finger traced the scar as I looked up at him.

"W-Who are you?"

"It's me, Mario but you can't tell kat."He said as he looked at me. "And I'm hired to kill you or Chris."

"W-What? W-Why?"

He let out a sigh. "Can we talk about this somewhere else?"

"No here is fine."

"I'm here because of your sister Marie wants you both dead or taken to her."Mario said with a shrug."To be honest I figured that you wouldn't want to go with her so she gave me the order to kill one of youse."

"What? Wait is she here now?"

"I've already said so much but I'm not going to touch anyone of you."Mario said as he let out another sigh. "You are family so is Chris and you've started one of your own."

"You can go ahead and kill Chris the knui."I said as I rolled my eyes. "He's a tarodo as well."

Mario let out a soft chuckle. "Calling him a knui is just on the dot."

"Shame he doesn't know what it means the dawoos."I added.

Mario just let out a laugh and looked at me. "I've missed you, you know all the things we used to get up to at the family gatherings and such."

"What? You mean the one when the rice pudding ended up on your mum?"

"Yeah kind of."

I looked at him and gave his hand a little squeeze. "What went wrong? Why have you changed your eyes? Changed yourself?"

"I ran didn't I? Then I was lost and Marie found me, she said family was everything and I should be with her instead of being my own."Mario explained as he looked at me. "So I did, we went all over the world and I didn't know anything about what she did because I was never told nor she did but.."He leaned in and brought his mouth closer. "The rumours and everything about her are true."
