Chapter 10
Clearly, nobody told Aiden that.
Alex
Seriously, could today get any more ridiculous? There I was, standing totally helpless to help a little girl fight off Empire soldiers, when Aiden, out of absolutely no where decides that it's fitting to destroy, literally, the only building on his planet. A+ decision making, dude.
The guy has water magic, and the first thing that comes to his mind, isn't to cut the wings of the airship he was escaping to, not to, I don't know, attack the guy kidnapping his little sister, no no, let's destroy a sacred building with a giant freaking geyser.
We shot upward with grace and dignity. When I say that, I mean Aiden flew up, standing perfectly still and focused right in the center of the stream without even bobbing, while I failed about, almost drowning, trying to, somehow, stay inside the current propelling us upward to the Empire airship, and not fall to my death.
What kind of plan did this guy have? Once we were up there, what then? We had no weapons, the only two people who could fight, were either unconscious, or they were causing the problem.
We blasted through the floor of the airship, and were greeted by a voice.
“So glad you could join us, Aiden. Oh, and look, you've brought Alex! Perfect."
