I've seen a lot of cool things in my life. I once knew a guy who could cut down a tree with his bare hands, there was that time that Alice killed a mountain lion just by looking at it, and also, there was when I destroyed those empire ships, but I gotta say. A bunch of grown men trained their entire lives to be the best fighters in the world getting their asses handed to them by a little girl, takes the cake.
When I regained consciousness, Aiden and Esmeralda were standing over me. Aiden was holding them off by smaking the soldiers in the face with magical water. Looking back I on it, that should've phased me more than it did. But honestly, that wasn't the most surprising thing that happened. Esmeralda was using magic too, but she had way cooler magic than me. She somehow managed to shoot lightning and paralyze a soldier, out of one hand, and call a tornado out of the other. And they needed ME?
“Hey, get up " Aiden barked at me “we need you"
“Clearly you don't" I responded, gesturing to Esmeralda.
“Oh, just get up" he said, lifting me off the ground.
Just as a soldier was charging at us, he smacked them away with his magic water with just a nonchalant flick of his wrist.
The only thing I could do was watch as a dude in a dress and a little girl fought off twenty Empire soldiers with the magic it takes hours for me to summon without even thinking about it.
This is ridiculous.
