"So, let me get this straight. There is a group called the Black Diamonds who are after me for my powers and are willing to kill me."
"Yes, this is why I am here, to protect you from them."
"And that means no revealing myself to Alec." I guessed.
"Exactly, we have enough to worry about and we do not need him in it."
"What are we supposed to do with you though. You cannot just keep showing up, Alec is going to think something is going on." I told Ian.
"That is the least of our worries, just shut up and say nothing."
"Fine."
Ian walked over to my window, running across the yard until he left our property. Now I have to go outside and see what questions Alec has and how to get around it.
"Where's Ian? Did he just disappear? Or are you not going to tell me." Alec questioned.
"Um, no he just left through the window."
"Oh really. You think I'm going to believe that." Alec bickered.
"It's true. What the heck is wrong with you?"
"So, what were you talking about? Or do you not want me to know.
"Alec, I cannot tell you. It's nothing for you to worry about I'm sorry." I admitted.
"It is something and I know it is. Don't be stupid with me."
"I'm not over dramatic, you are. He is just a friend, there is no need for jealousy. Especially coming from you." I demanded.
Walking past him and out the front door, saying no words. I cannot believe him, not trusting me. I may be keeping secrets, but it is for everyone's sake.
"I can't believe you!" I yelled, storming out the front door.
Leaving the house and started walking down the street to calm down, when I bumped into a girl. All of my stuff fell to the floor as she helped me pick it all up.
"I'm so sorry," she gasped.
The girl had jet black curly hair, hazel green-blue eyes, and dark skin. When she saw my face her eyes lit up.
"You are Aleah, the 9th. I'm Liv the 7th."
"There is more of us? You have to be kidding me." I said.
"Yeah, it goes down to the 1st, but you are the strongest and most likely the last of us. Until we all die and then our powers get passed down to the next generation. Except for you, no one died for you to be picked. You are the special one."
"I may be special, but I don't want to be. All I want to be is a normal teenager, like everyone else." I confessed.
"Well you are not."
Liv's phone rang, but she never picked up. Like she was avoiding the call."You can take the call, I'm on my way anyways."
"No... I don't need to." Liv stuttered.
I can tell she has a secret as well because she seemed nervous and was fidgeting a bit. I know something was off with her, but I cannot tell what. She seemed too nice, like she was forcing it. Liv passed me my belongings as I started to walk away. The farther I got the faster I started running. Liv's phone rang once more and she answered the call.
"We found her. The 9th. She is distressed and has no clue what she is doing. It is time, I will find her and bring her to you." Liv replied.
I can hear a bit coming from her phone.
"Good. Bring her to me, with her power as ours, we will be unstoppable. This is our time. We have been waiting for this for years. Get her!"
Clicking off of the call, as I ran as fast as I could. I need to find Ian. He will know what to do. We need to find out how to stop Liv without her knowing that we know her little secret.
