Sitting down, the room was quiet until Alec began a conversation.
"Aleah. Do you really have feelings for Ian?"
I said nothing. Alec and I are dating, I'm not supposed to love anyone else. Even though I do. There is just something about Ian, a broken soul that I want to fix.
"Aleah?"
"I'm sorry, Alec." I replied.
"So, it's true?"
"Yes, please forgive me."
"I can't believe you." Alec complained.
"Please Alec," I said looking into his eyes, "please forgive me."
"I can't." Alec hissed.
Leaving me there, alone. My room door was wide open, with only me in the room. Laying on my bed, I thought about my decision.
Am I a bad person? I just destroyed my best friends feelings and he may never talk to me ever again. Now I'm dependent on a boy who might think I'm a jerk for what I did before we went into battle.
Why can't my life just be easier? I live such a complicated life compared to everyone my age.
Sighing, Ian was at my door.
"Can I come in?" he asked.
"Fine."
"Are you okay? Honestly, I'm worried about you." Ian confessed.
Sitting up I said, "Yeah, I just think I ruined a friendship with someone who has been with me my entire life."
"If he was really your friend, wouldn't he understand." Ian replied.
"I guess."
"Just remember, when everything seems like it is breaking, you will have me."
Looking into his eyes, I saw some of his past. His old life he left behind, the life of darkness. Falling over on my bed, I saw into his mind.
The room was dark. It had a little girl, a woman, and a man in the picture. I didn't know these people until little Ian came into the room. He was about 7 and the little girl was about 9.
Is that little girl his sister?
Impossible...
"Ian come over here," the woman said.
"Yes, mom."
So that's his mother. She had pale skin and brown- black hair.
"It's time for dinner, wash your hands everyone."
Ian went and washed his hands. He looked very curious. When he walked back to the room, he passed out on the floor.
"IAN!" his father screamed.
His mother picked up his limp body, he had no pulse. The father called 911 and the ambulance showed up shortly.
"Help! Help! My son has no pulse and is passed out on the floor! Send... help!" his father stuttered.
The doctors put him on a stretcher and put him in the truck.
"I need to go with him! Please... let me." his mother pleaded.
They slammed the truck doors and drove off with only Ian. His father came out and held his mother while Ian's sister watched from the kitchen window. This would be the last day they would see him forever.
Ian got to the hospital and was put under brain scans. But, this was done by one doctor, the doctor who delivered me.
"I got him guys," the doctor said.
Ian was waking up after his scans and procedures.
"So, kid. Is this the first time this had happened?"
"Yes."
"Okay listen close, Ian. I can't bring you back home. You possess a special power that will be needed later in life, for a certain kid with the same power you have. It will be too dangerous to let you leave. I'm sorry."
Ian looked like he did when he was around me. He cried and cried. This little kid could never be reunited with his family. He grew up without them, which caused him to be the way he is. This is his sensitive side, which he masks up with anger and nastiness.
I finally know some things about this mysterious man who stands before me. The only question I have is, does his sister have powers as well?
So many unanswered questions about this little vision.
What are his parents thinking? Where does his family live? Do they still remember him? Do they think he has died? Does his sister know what happened to him?
Hopefully we know these answers one day.
The room went foggy and I left the memory. Sitting up, I had to find some things out, from Ian's perspective.
