Chapter 7: The Secret is Out

"Uh... Rosy what are you doing here? How long have you been here for?"

"I have been standing by the door the whole time. I heard everything." Rosy said.

"Don't tell Alec. Please, I'm begging you, you are the only person that can know about this. For the sake of everyone, including you."

What have I gotten myself into?

Life just keeps getting worse and now I'm risking the life of a poor girl. I have to stop it now because that is my duty to keep my real identity a secret yet, I obviously can't.

"Don't worry, Aleah. I know life has been tough for you. It has been tough for all of us. You are not the only one without a mother." Rosy said as she stared at her feet.

"Hey look at me, Rosy," I asked as Rosy turned to look at me.

"Don't worry, everything works out in the end. All I need you to do is not to tell anyone. Especially, Alec, this will be our secret. Okay?" I said to Rosy.

"Yes."

Rosy got up and left my room, one problem handled, more to go.

Heading out of my room when I heard a sound of moving leaves in my backyard. Turning around and went down the ladder to see what was moving.

"Hello? Is anyone here?"

As I said that, I saw someone come out of the bushes. It was Liv.

"So, your master plan is failed. I know you know about me and I know she knows about your little secret."

Liv pulled Rosy from out behind her holding a gun to her head.

"Rosy!"

"Now that I got you here. You either tell me where Ian is or the girl gets it." Liv said with a devilish smile.

I didn't know what to do. Liv was grabbing Rosy harder and my life flashed before my eyes.

"I'm not telling you where he is and you stand no chance. I will get her back."

Suddenly, my body was overthrown with power. Something that I thought I could never do. I kicked Liv and she flew back into the tree, smashing a hole in it. I took Rosy and made a run for it before Liv got back up. It was time to evacuate the house. We need to get Max and Alec and get out of here. I ran inside and up to Alec.

"We need to get out of here now."

"What do you mean?"

"Long story. I'll explain later, but it is not safe here. We need to go now."

Calling Ian up, we started heading to his house, this is war. We got to Ian's house and ran inside.

"Ian, I need your help. Liv found us and she is trying to kill my loved ones, again. I don't know what to do, I'm freaking out." I said in concern.

"Calm down. Does she know about me?"

"Yes she threatened to kill Rosy if I didn't tell her where you were."

"Hold on, Aleah. Rosy almost got killed by this psycho? We need to call the police immediately!" Alec yelled.

"We can't, Alec. They don't know what would be going on."

"I don't understand."

I looked at Ian, I didn't know what to do or say. He nodded towards me, it was time to tell him.

"Well, there was something I have been hiding from you. You see, I have powers to be able to see into people's minds. There is more of us, for example, Ian is one. But, for some reason I was born to be the strongest, which is putting me and you guys in a lot of danger. This is why someone was trying to kill Rosy and why my mom was killed. I didn't want to tell you because it could have put you in more danger and you would be worried about me too much. I'm sorry." I confessed.

"You mean you hid this from me! I can't believe you would do this! I thought we were close! I gave you a home to live in and this is what you do to me?!" Alec yelled.

"Alec, I'm sorry..."

"I don't need to hear anything from you right now," Alec said as he stormed out of the room.
