The seven friends were sitting in the basement watching TV. Hyde sat in a chair beside the couch. Kelso was sitting on the couch by Hyde while Jackie stood behind Kelso, playing with Kelso's hair. Eric sat beside Kelso on the couch and Donna sat in front of Eric on the floor. Liz sat in a chair beside the couch by Eric and Fez sat in a chair next to her.
"Does it bother anybody else that these women live in Hooterville?" Hyde asked his friends.
"Technically, Petticoat Junction is down the track from Hooterville." Eric corrected Hyde.
"Okay, does it bother anyone else that they live down the track from Hooterville?" Hyde asked annoyed.
"Yeah, and it bothers me that it's called 'Petticoat Junction'... why is it named after female undergarments?" Liz commented in contempt.
"It bothers me that they bathe in the town water tank." Donna added.
"With the dog." Kelso pointed out in disgust.
"It isn't the drinking water. It is the water for the train." Jackie clarified.
"Like that makes it any better." Liz retorted.
"It's still three naked women with a dog." Donna said.
"I want to be the Hooterville dog." Fez said wistfully.
"Ew, Fez. No." Liz chastised him with a chuckle. Fez smiled sheepishly.
Liz and Eric's mother, Kitty, came down the stairs to do laundry and told Eric to wear a specific shirt for his birthday. Eric asked his mother not to throw him a party that year and she tried to convince him she wasn't planning a birthday party for him. No one fell for it; Kitty was a terrible liar.
"Well, you're getting a party. And best of all, it's a surprise!" Donna joked. Eric and Liz shook their heads.
"I just realized Donna's older than you." Kelso said to Eric.
"Only by a month." Donna clarified.
"Good for you, Eric." Fez congratulated him.
"What for?" Eric asked Fez.
"In my country, it is good luck to fall in love with an older woman." Fez explained.
"Fez! Fez!" Eric motioned to Donna with his eyes. Eric was trying to get Fez to stop talking about how Eric liked Donna. Fez didn't understand.
"No, they come with livestock." Fez further explained. Hyde and Liz laughed at Eric's discomfort and Fez's obliviousness.

The next morning, Eric walked into the kitchen for breakfast. Liz and his parents were already in there. Eric tried to get food for breakfast, but his mother blocked him and got it out for him herself. Eric asked about an excessive amount of chips and his mother lied about them being on sale.
"Please don't throw me a party." Eric begged his mom.
"I'm not throwing a party." Kitty lied.
"Don't give him one." Red said while reading the paper.
"I'm not!" Kitty insisted.
"He's too old for surprise parties." Red told her.
"I'm agreeing with you." Kitty responded annoyed.
"Then stop yelling." Red said.
"I'm not yelling!" Kitty countered with a raised voice.
"Look, I know money is tight, so I don't want a big birthday." Eric told his parents.
