I and They

I act, They react

I talk, They respond

I show, They tell

I criticize, They decide

I scold, They become mold

I could win, They could win

I unify, They discriminate

I believe, They ignore fate

I am filled with love, They are filled with air

I try to make things possible, They try to make things impossible

I care, They might

I break the coma, ,They rebuild it

I reach out for their hand, They say, "No thanks, friend."

I give them a hug and soften that cold, iced coffee mug
