When (y/n) entered the company in the morning, she saw (bf/n) standing in front of the elevator which made her smile and run to her, "Good morning!"

"Oh hi (y/n)," (Bf/n) grinned, "How was yesterday? I heard that you got a new project going on."

She sighed, "Yeah. It's nice, but I'm kinda struggling since it's different from usual, but I'll do my best." she said as both of them walked into the elevator once it opened.

As both of them walked toward the office, (bf/n) let out a chuckle, "It's there again."

"What?" (y/n) frowned as she squinted her eyes to take a better look around the office. Her eyes finally landed on her desk, and she couldn't help but sigh.

"You really should try talking to him." (bf/n) suggested.

"Why!? He should be the one taking the first step if he wants to." (y/n) said as she went to her desk and picked up the flowers, putting it under the desk next to the last ones without even looking at the note that was sticking to it.

Ever since this new guy called Lee Minho started working in the company, he just treated (y/n) differently. He'd say 'good morning's to her every day with an angelic smile, and would wave at her whenever he saw her. Then he started getting her flowers everyday, and he'd put cute notes on them with encouraging words, and he would often wait to see her reaction. It was nice at first, and (y/n) would happily take the flowers back to her apartment, but she just found it really weird now, and kind of creepy, since he never actually talked to her.

"He walked in today with a really bright grin on his face as he left the flowers there." Her colleague smiled as she glanced at (y/n).

(Y/n) sighed once again, "Okay, can you just focus on your work?"

The female shrugged, "Sure..."

(Y/n) stared at her desk blankly for a while, asking herself if she should actually talk to him or not. Maybe he was shy? He did look quite cute and nice, so what would be the problem? She can just ignore him if he was actually a weirdo.

She nodded to herself before going to see him.

She found him drinking coffee and staring at his computer screen with a really bored face. Seeing him so emotionless made (y/n) giggle, since he was always smiling.

"Hey," She smiled at him as she now stood next to his desk.

Once he looked up to her, a warm smile spread on his face and it felt like he was looking elsewhere. His eyes seemed to look too deep into (y/n)'s, yet it still didn't feel like he was actually looking at her.

"How..." She found it hard to speak and her smile faltered for a moment. Why did he look so sad?

"How are you?"

He glanced at the ground for a moment and laughed, "Good. You?"

"Fine."

'Well this is awkward.' (y/n) thought, quickly thinking of something to say.

"You, uh... Y-Your work... Break? I mean we can, like, have lunch .. or something?" (y/n) smiled awkwardly, not actually understanding what she had just said. Why was she stuttering?

He chuckled, and (y/n) just admired his laugh and smile. He looked so pure and precious she just wanted to protect him even though he was older than her. He nodded, standing up, "Sure."

'What made me think he was creepy? His smile just cured my freaking depression.'

When they went to the cafeteria, he told her to sit while he ordered something for them. 'What a gentleman.' she thought.

"So... Do you have a reason for inviting me here?" He smiled sheepishly, rubbing his nape.

"Hmm, I think I do?" It sounded more like a question, and both of them just laughed. Awkward.

"I actually... wanted to ask why you're so nice to me?" she tilted her head, and her smile faltered as she saw again that same look on his face. "Why do you look at me with so much sadness..? Have we met before?"

He smiled as soon as he realised he was making her uncomfortable, "Actually no, we haven't." He let out a small laugh. "It's just..." He looked down at his hands, thinking for a minute.

(Y/n) felt like she shouldn't press him, but she was really curious. His mouth kept opening and closing abruptly till the food came. "Let's eat for now." She smiled at him, hoping eating will relax him.

After having lunch, (y/n) ordered drinks for both of them, but Minho didn't take one sip from it.

"It's..." He finally spoke after some time, and took a deep breath before going on, "You remind a lot of my girlfriend, especially your smile." He smiled that same sad smile as he just stared at the ground, "So I... I-I thought that I want to make you happy. I wanted to see your smile more. I don't even know your name, and I'm kind of an introvert and not interested in meeting new people, so I didn't actually approach you." He chuckled, "I'm sorry."

"I see... Did she move away? Or... D-Did you break up?"

"No. She passed away."

She regretted asking so much as she saw a single tear rolling down his cheek. She never felt regret as much as she did right now. She just wanted to stand up and hug him, but he was still a stranger.

"I-I'm so sorry for your loss." She choked up, biting her lower lip to prevent herself from crying. 'Why did I just have to ask!? It was obvious she passed away!'

He looked up at her and smiled warmly, "Aww don't cry. It's okay." He pushed the tissue box towards her.

"I'm really sorry for asking." She cried, taking a couple of tissues to wipe her tears before her face turns to a mess because of the mascara.

"It's okay, really." He said, but she just cried more as she saw one more tear fall from his eyes. He sighed and wiped his eyes, "I'm fine. I'm over it. I know she won't be happy if I just kept crying over her. I need to be happy, and make the most out of my life, right?"

"Right," (y/n) smiled at him, but he started laughing. "What?"

"Your face is a mess!"

"Wha- no." She whined, quickly standing up to go to the restroom. "Bye!" She said, hurrying away.

Minho chuckled, "She's so cute."
