Exasperated cries escaped the woman's mouth and tears blurred her vision as she hid amongst the overhanging trees. The full moon was out that night guiding her through the forest as her almost bleeding feet stumbled through the branches.

She couldn't save her now. Her childhood friend had her fate decided by Voldemort himself. Her friend knew she would die that night, her and her husband had to pay the ultimate price in order to protect what they loved most. She had to gift them their last request.

As she leapt over a fallen log she cradled the infant wrapped in her arms carefully. The baby was as calm as ever resting like a fallen angel. She had to protect her now.
"Oh lera." She shakily whispered. "How could you leave your child like this." The tears continued to stream down her face.
She cupped the child's warm cheek and her eyes swelled.

"It's going to be okay now. I'll take care of you Alora."

(Present day)
After all school activities ended and everyone retreated to their respective house areas, Alora on the other hand, stayed in the owlery unknowingly after curfew scribbling a messy letter to send off that night. Her only source of light was a dimly lit lantern and the raw glowing moonlight that emitted through the windows.

Dear Mother,
Thankyou for sending a new coat, I'll wear it well. Take care of yourself too, dress warmly and don't go out alone too much. I'm studying well and I can't wait to see you again soon once School break comes along.

Love from, Alora.

Short but sweet. Alora folded the letter into a neat envelope and tucked it into her small tawny owl's beak as well as a small treat for its efforts. "Send this to home okay?" She smiled and the owl tilted it's head as if it understood and flew into the darkness of the night sky. She picked up her lantern and left for the exit.

As she turned into the doorway her body had collided with another causing her to drop her lantern. She let out a gasp as glass shattered across the floor. The blonde boy she bumped into was certainly just as startled as she was.
Alora immediately panicked and dropped to the ground to clean the mess making the boy's eyes widen.
