A sharp pain bled through her body as she stirred awake. Her eyes shot open as she parted her mouth to let out a panicked scream only to be silenced by a hand slapping over her mouth.

"Shh be quiet! They're going to come back any minute." A raspy voice hissed.

"Draco?" She tried to utter an alarmed scream but it came out all muffled. She tried to reach out to him but was firmly tugged back by restraints. The invisible ropes tightened as she fervently struggled against them.

"An incarserous spell, it's been jinxed to tighten so don't move too much! I'm going to let go now so be quiet or they'll hear us." Draco whisper-yelled.

He slowly released hold of her lips only to hear the heart-wrenching sound of her weak sobs.

"What the hell are you doing here alora?! You shouldn't be here, they're going to hurt you!" He furiously scorned in a hushed tone.

Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes and streamed down the edges of her cheeks as she bore into his worried ones.

"I'm scared." She whimpered softly against his chest. Her tears began to seep through his charcoal suit as he gripped her bloodied sweater wearily.

"I'm scared too." He whispered shakily in her ear. "I'm going to get you out of here. I promise."

"W-Where are we?"  She didn't recognise any of these lavish yet dark walls that surrounded her. The scent of the room smelt so familiar but felt cold and unloved in.

"In my family's manor. Everyone is in a meeting upstairs... they're angry alora. Your friends made it out safe." He informed.

"Thats a relief- but my mothe... the faceless woman... is she going to kill me?" She uttered in a short breath.

"I won't let them hurt you. I promise."

"I don't want to die draco." The air was caught in her throat as she muttered against him.

"When I saw then carrying your body inside and you were barely moving... I-I thought you'd — I couldn't breathe or move... I just- felt so useless at the thought." He stared at her pained face with glossy
eyes.

"I'm sorry...I should've listened to you-"

"Don't say that- I'm just grateful that you're alive right now." He pulled her in closer to his body, his grasp tight as if he never wanted to let go ever again.
"But.. it will to be difficult going against whatever bellatrix and the faceless woman decide to do with you. They're both the dark lord's most trusted second in commands so my word won't mean much against theirs."

"Not if I can help that." A snarky chuckle cuts through the atmosphere.

Alora felt her breath hitch in the back of her throat as Kade stepped out from the wall he was leaning on.
