Alora's tired eyes sunk her face as she gloomily hovered over her textbook, black ink stained her hands. She drawled as she read over the lines over and over, unable to process the information due to her lack of sleep. The common room lit up with victory celebrations all night but instead she preferred to head straight to her dormitory to spend some time alone, parties weren't her type of thing anyways.
"Bloody hell you look ghastly this morning." Ron slumped into the seat across from hers. "Ron!" Harry suddenly appeared besides her.
"But seriously, you didn't even attend celebrations last night." Ron nagged.
"I didn't feel like it anyways. I tried catching up on some sleep but that proved to be too difficult apparently." Her half lidded eyes looked at the two boys. With all the noise last night it was no wonder anyone within that section of the school could even get a blink of sleep. "Oh by the way Harry, congratulations on—" She stammered. She had just remembered what that had meant. She and Harry... The words he said that day echoed in her mind like a forgotten dream. Harry looked at her knowingly with a nervous expression.
They both averted their eyes from each other. Ron stared on at the awkward sight. "Geez you two sure are acting strange today. I mean, stranger than usual." He commented briskly.
Throughout the day Alora couldn't stop overthinking it. Harry had asked her on a date and she accepted his offer but why was she so shaken by it? At all means possible she tried to avoid seeing Harry throughout the day to avoid any awkward confrontations that may occur. But in the end, one of them should address the elephant in the room. She was thankful she hardly had any classes that she would encounter him in or when she was in the common area she was glad he wasn't there at the same time. Although she also did like harry, she didn't know what she wanted. It's been obvious all day that he's been eager to speak to her but Alora was to afraid to give him the chance.
When dinner time came around, Alora sighed in relief that the day was almost complete. It was a painfully awkward day of her dodging all Harry's curious looks towards her and managing to cross paths with him the least as possible. She walked to the dining hall alone feeling strange without the presence of her lighting scarred friend walking with her to dinner like he usually does. But then again, that was the whole reason she strategically left ten minutes earlier than he would.
Suddenly a nudge to her shoulder caused an avalanche of books to fall to the floor as the woman who accidentally bumped her exclaimed frigidly. "Oh gosh! Professor Trelawney I'm so sorry, let me help." She apologised frantically picking up the books and handing them to her. The professor looked up through her magnified circle glasses and her eyes widened. Her bony fingers latched onto Alora's arm aggressively tight and wouldn't let go. A look of terror immediately spreads across her face. "Child! I've just now realised...you look exactly like her!" She says bitterly.
