Bubbly.
Fizzy.
My tongue tingles,
Just like the first time I kissed you.
You were a summer time daydream,
And the setting sun was my heart burning for you.
My nights are filled with winter stars,
And sure, I miss your summer heat from time to time,
But my, do the stars shine so much brighter without you.
The taste of carbon reminds me of your poison bite.
You were blooming daffodils,
And I am a sleepy willow tree.
At least I will survive the winter's chill,
While you'll remain temporary,
Just like our time together.
