Riverdale One Shots

Okay, this used to be only Bughead one shots, so sorry to those of you who are new and are probably thinking, "Why are these only bughead?", I just recently changed it to Riverdale because I had ideas for other couples/friendships/storylines. 

BTW, This is not a Bughead romance one shot, it's Bughead as a friendship/best friends + Varchie.

"C'mon, Betty. I'm sure the red-headed stallion likes you back." says my new friend, Veronica Lodge. 

I was going to tell Archie how I felt last night, before she showed up at Pop's. She was interested, but Kevin was quick to tell her about my feelings.

"I don't know, Veronica. I wouldn't want to risk our friendship, you know?"

She stops me as we walk in the hall, I was giving her the tour of the school.

"You're a smoke show, Betty! If he isn't interested, it's his loss."

I smile, feeling my cheeks heat up.

"Fine. Maybe I'll tell him after school." I roll my eyes and continue walking.

"Get it, girl!" Veronica exclaims.

"It's finally happening." Kevin says excitedly.

"Hey, Veronica!" calls out Archie, running towards me in the hallway as I leave the school.

I stop, standing to the side against the wall.

"Hey." I smile.

"I, uh, I was wondering if you wanted to grab some food at Pop's?" 

 I didn't want to ruin any chance of being Betty's friend. But, god, he was cute.

I bite my lip, "Sure."

He smiles, walking out with me, showing me the way to the diner.

I didn't realize how big of a mistake I was making.

"Hey, Jug, have you seen Arch?" I stop as I walk by Jughead's locker.

He turns around, closing his locker and walking with me. "No, sorry. Why?"

"Oh," I shake my head, "No reason. Just thought maybe we could walk home together."

"Well, he mentioned something about going to Pop's to grab food with his dad." he shrugs.

"Wanna go? Maybe we can all have lunch, the three of us like old times?"

He smirks down at me, tilting his head. "I don't feel like being a third wheel, Betts."

"Wha- no? Why would you be a third wheel?"

"It's clear you're gonna tell him about your crush on him. Betty Cooper doesn't go to such lengths unless she's got something to say." he smirks.

I blush, embarrassed. "Fine, but please come. I need your moral support." 

I look at him in plea. He sighs, 

"Fine, only cause I can't say no to a burger."

"Yes! Thank you! And, just for that I'll pay for your food." I nudge his shoulder.
