Varchie

Yay! My first Varchie story ever!

"B, I don't know how to be a girlfriend he deserves! I'm telling you, New York relationships were a lot.. simpler than this." I say in worry.

As sit in a booth at Pop's, Betty responds, "It's Archie, V. He likes you for you, and you're capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for."

"What if I disappoint him?" 

"Stop!" Betty quickly says. "All you have to do is be there for him, just like you have been this whole time. You know what's in your heart, you have to tell him whatever it is."

"God, you and Jughead make it seem so easy, you guys are perfect." 

Betty smiles at the thought of her boyfriend. "Perfectly imperfect, I like to say. It just works because we don't hesitate with each other, V, you have to have a positive mind set."

I let out a deep breath, "Okay."

Betty's face suddenly lights up, peering over me and looking at the entrance of Pop's, "Speak of the devils." 

Betty shoots out of her seat, meeting Jughead in the middle as they walk towards each other, sharing a passionate kiss and smiles. As for me, I sit frozen, I didn't know how to face Archie right now. Calm down, Veronica, just act normal. There's only a problem if you make one.

The three of them come to the booth, Jughead's arm around Betty as they sit, his back against the wall, and Archie taking a seat next to me.

"Hey, what a nice surprise!" I smile at my boyfriend, not knowing the two of them would be here. 

"Hi, babe." he replies anxiously.

"I-uh..." I look at Betty and eye her. She catches the signal, taking Jughead's hand and going to the stools at the front of the Chock'lit Shoppe. "I wanted to talk to you.. about what you said yesterday?"

"Oh, uh, we don't have to talk about it Ronnie, really." he stutters, his face turning red.

I turn my body more towards him, taking his hand, "No, I want to."

I look into his eyes, showing him I'm ready to talk. 

"Okay." he says.

"I know.. that I probably hurt you or scared you yesterday, it was just so out of the blue. I've never had someone.... tell me that and I got overwhelmed."

"I-I know, I shouldn't have said tha-"

I place a hand over his mouth, "Let me finish, loverboy." I smirk. He smiles in response.

"But after clarity and a little help from B, I've come to a conclusion." I bite my lip as I finish the sentence.

"What's that?" he flirts back.

I gulp, "That I love you too." 

"Ronnie..." he breaths heavily, his eyes scanning around my face. "I love you."

"I know now kiss me." I say quickly while leaning closer.

I know, I know, it was really short :( I'm re-watching some riverdale so I can get more of an understanding of Veronica and Archie's characters because they're a lot more closed-off compared to Betty and Jughead (as in their characters don't have dominant attributes to work with- that we've seen yet- like being a serpent or having a dark side). Once I feel like I understand them a little better, I promise I'll be back with a great Varchie story + Choni!! Thank you guys for reading and I hope you understand. ♥
