A month later *Christmas eve*

William's Pov

Early this morning I got a call from Omar telling me that I got the job

Yesterday the rape charge was taken off of my record. When I proved my innocence Tasha's father was there and he gave me 200 dollars and he apologized. I couldn't wait to come home to tell my family and Jazmine the great news. When I went back home my lights were back on; Jazmine paid my bill. Yesterday my mom said that Destiny and Ashley were going to pay Tasha a quick visit. I told her that wasn't best because tomorrow was Christmas eve. It Christmas eve and I have gifts for no one. Angel and Kendrick's birthday is tomorrow I got to get them something!

Destiny's Pov

I have everything planned for the twins first birthday party tomorrow. Kendrick has been gone for a month and I'm already getting overwhelmed. He said that he would be here at 12 but it's 12:30. The doorbell rang. Shaniel rushed to the door as usual. "Heey Kendrick!" "What's up kid!" "Can I tell you guys something?" Shaniel asked as they walked into the den. "Sure. Hi Kendrick" "Destiny" "Sit down" Shaniel said. I sat on the couch as Kendrick sat in the chair. "No Kendrick next to Destiny". "Shaniel" Kendrick said. "No! Sit next to her please!" Kendrick got up and sat to the far right. "Fine. Fair enough". There was an awkward silence for a little while. "Soo guys do u know what I want for Christmas?" "For Khalil to come back?" Kendrick said. "Yeah that but that's not what I'm talking about". There was another long pause. "For us to get back together?" I said. Kendrick looked at me then at Shaniel. "That's exactly what I want" she smiled. Kendrick got up. "Kendrick where are you going?" Shaniel asked. To my surprised he got up to sit next to me. "So am I getting what I want? That wasn't hard". "No we aren't getting back together because legally we're still married until she gets the papers". "Kendrick! You know what I mean! I want y'all in the same house being the best couple y'all can be!" You guys will have your problems but I know you guys can get through them. You have three kids". "Act-" Kendrick interrupted. "No you guys have three kids. I'm not counting me either. That guy might say he'll be there but c'mon what makes you think he really is? One day I heard my mom talking to Shawn; she told him that being the one that made the child doesn't make you a father being there for the child makes you the father. If this baby is that other guy's all he is is a sperm donor. Kendrick he is nothing compared to you!" "Shaniel I understand where you're coming from but let Kendrick and I worry about our problems". "NO! I'm sorry to yell but that's what I want for my Christmas gift. If my boyfriend isn't down here I should at least have my parents together. Yeah I said parents. I don't think of you guys as the couple that took me in but you guys don't realize that!" She grabbed her phone and rushed upstairs. Kendrick and I sat there not saying a word for a while. "So uh is everything ready for tomorrow?" He asked. "Yeah". I handed him a list of everything I had planned. "Looks good to me. What time do I need to be here to help decorate? What time does it start?" "You can come around three and the party starts at seven. Remember it's also a Christmas party". "I know that's why I asked what time". "Kendrick" "Yeah?" "Are you seriously not talking to your mom?" "Yeah because I'm I'm tired of her taking Elijah's side." "She's your mother. She loves you guys to much stop putting her through this. So what he's gay. He already faces the heat when he's out he doesn't need it coming from someone who used to be his stepbrother. You're his family. His only family." I can't believe we're having an actual conversation. Let's see how long this last..

Khalil's Pov

Believe it or not I'm really enjoying myself here. Shaniel and I talk every night. To my surprise Fancy can cook really good. Antonio is still here which makes me believe she's selling her body again just to keep him here. I saw Fancy and Antonio putting gifts under the tree. I can't believe they bought me so much stuff, but once again where is she getting the money? "Khalil come help us put candy canes on the tree. Some greedy one at them all. We just got these yesterday. Did you have any?" "No" "Exactly liar!" She slapped Antonio in the arm. He laughed. Is she flirting? Are they dating? "Are you guys together?" I automatically wanted to take my question back. "Yes we are" Fancy said. "Since when?" "A couple of days ago". "Oh. So is he going to continue to work for you?" "No of course not". "Oh OK because that would be weird. So are you going somewhere else for Christmas?" "Nah. I'm going to chill here with you guys. You cool with that Lil dude?" Lil dude? ". I'm cool with that". "What's wrong?" Fancy asked. "This is my first Christmas with Shaniel and I can't even spend it with her. Also first Christmas without mom and dad". Fancy hugged me. "I know it's hard". "I already got her a gift and everything" "When did you get it? Where is it?" "Two days before we left and it's in my room under my bad.. Back at home". "It's okay! Our grandparents live there now. We'll just call to see if they could deliver it to Shaniel". "No I want to give it to her when we go visit. Regardless on how long it's been". "Alright. I'll still call her to see if it's still there". I followed her as she called. The gift wasn't there anymore. There's no way! That's where I left at least I think. I went to my room to think about it.
