Chapter 12

Destiny's P.O.V

Me,Kendrick,Shaniel and my mom were in the family room watching tv when Shondrica ran inside. "Mom what's wrong?!" Kendrick asked hopping up. "There was an accident Damon was hit!" "Did you hit him?!" "No I was next to him at the light. Our light was red but I guess since they were laughing so hard he didn't see this big truck coming. They flipped over. I was stunned.. I still am.." "Why are you telling us this?" Kendrick asked. "Because she needs to. You know if the cops see this car they're going to come here because of how you went off at the case. Knowing how unfair they are you will be going to jail" I said. "So what are we going to do? If we run we're only going to look suspicious" "We will stay here and wait for them to come" "Destiny that's stupid" "No it's not. I bet if you walk out that door they will find you and assume you did something" "It was a truck though" my mom said. "It doesn't matter. They might think he just ditched the truck. Trust me!" "Okay. Okay" My mom and Kendrick said. There was a knock at the door and Shondrica looked through the window. "It's the cops" I looked at Kendrick and chucked my head at him before going to open the door.

Kendrick's P.O.V

"Hello off-" Officer Scott pushed Destiny out the way to attack me. "Get off of him!" I heard officer Dan yell. He grabbed him and slammed officer Scott up against the wall. "You have no right coming here and trying to arrest him!" "He hit my brother!" "Do you have proof?!" Destiny yelled. "He's the only one that would do a hit and run on my brother!" I chuckled. "Trust me if I wanted to hurt him the last thing I would do is a hit and run". Both Dan and Scott looked at me. "Did you hit him or hired anyone to him?" Officer Dan asked. "No I was with my family all morning" "What about last night?" Scott asked still pinned. "I saw you guys last night idiot! Then I came home and handled my business as a father and a husband" "What does that mean?" "Does it matter?" "See he hit my brother!" "No I didn't! I put my kids to bed then I had sex with my wife!" "Y'all what?!" my mom asked. "Shondrica hush!"Lisa said. "Lemme find out" she said before going upstairs. "Umm guys I think you need to see something" Shaniel said. We all walked into the family room and looked at the tv.

Michelle Wright wife of Damon Wright has been arrested. "Yes I hit him! He was cheating on me and he was raping women! 10 to be exact! He just told me that yesterday! If you guys take me to jail and he gets to run around free someone is going to kill him. Just watch. That hoe that let him go free from the case is the one he's been cheating on me with! I have one more thing to say.. Destiny Hawkins I wish you and your family the best of luck! You were the only victim that went to the cops.

They shoved her into the car and Shaniel looked at Destiny.

Destiny's P.O.V

I can't believe what I just heard. A smile came across my face. Kendrick hugged me and whispered into my ear. "He's going to jail" "Destiny" Shaniel said.  We all looked back at the tv.

All the people in the car seemed to have made it. It's a miracle.

I watched as they helped Damon out of the car. He started walking like his car didn't just flip over. He looked at the camera and smiled before being placed into an ambulance. I looked over at Officer Dan. "He's going to jail. He's not getting off that easily. We trusted you now it's your turn to trust me" he smiled. "Your rapist brother still innocent?" Kendrick asked Scott. Scott placed his hand on his gun. "You shot him I shot you" Officer Dan said in a stern tone. Scott walked out. "Don't worry I got this" he smiled before walking out. I thanked him before closing the door. When I turned around Kendrick was smiling. I jumped into his arms. "I told you we got this!" "So what about this having sex in my house? In my bedroom?!" Shondrica asked walking downstairs. Kendrick put me down before looking at his mother. "How did you know it was in your bedroom?" I asked. "I do now" "oopps" Shondrica walked up to Kendrick. "Have sex in my house again" she slapped him. "Dang ma I'm sorry. She came on to me!" My mouth opened. "I highly doubt that" Shondrica said. I giggled and Kendrick playfully punched me in my arm. "Thanks a lot" Kendrick said. "You're welcome" I smiled. "So what do you guys have planned now?" "We're going to stay here until the house is fixed". "Kendrick no" "Destiny please shut up and let me handle this" My jaw dropped. My mom smiled at Kendrick. "Good job Kendrick. She needs to hear that every once in a while" I rolled my eyes. "Roll em again and see if I don't embarrass you" "Ooo" Kendrick said. Shaniel giggled. "Yes ma'am. Kendrick shut up" I punched him. "Ow babe" I rolled my eyes again as he asked like he was hurt. Prince began to cry. "I got him" Kendrick said. "So Destiny do you really think he's going yo stay?" My mom asked. "As long as it took me yes I do" I smiled. "Good!" she said with a smile. Kendrick came back down with Prince. "Someone needs to be changed" I said. "I'll change him" "Kendrick you can't do everything" I said. "You're right I can't breastfeed" He smirked. "You're an idiot" Shondrica said. I shook my head. Kendrick went to go change him. "Destiny?" Shondrica said. "Yes?" "Are you positive that baby isn't Kendrick's he looks exactly like him" "It doesn't matter his going to be here regardless" "You have good man don't mess it up" my mom said. "I won't" Kendrick soon came back with Prince. "He almost killed me" he said. I laughed. He handed Prince to me. We're going to be ok.. I've been blessed with a good man..

Markius's P.O.V

"Markius that was amazing!" I signed before getting out the bed to put on my clothes. "Markius baby where are you going?" "Listen I'm not your baby. I shouldn't have slept with you. I'm married and I have a kid with her and one on the way. I just cheated on my pregnant wife!" I heard her get out the bed. She rested her head on my back. I pushed her away. "Stop! I don't want you!" I grabbed my keys before rushing to my car.

I pulled up into my driveway. I know I've done wrong but I can't lose her. I made a stupid mistake.. I sighed before getting out the car to walk into a disaster...
