Kendrick's Pov

When I got to the hospital I rushed to Markius's room. He looked ok but I just had to make sure. I grabbed his hand and he squeezed it. "You alright man?" He squeezed it again. "Was anyone else in here?" No response. I'm an idiot. "Squeeze once for yes twice for no". He squeezed my hand then one more time. I beat them! "So Markius there are some people trying to get to the family because of my ex but don't worry I won't let anything happen to anyone". He squeezed my hand this time harder. The door slowly crept open. "Good job Kendrick! I can't believe you actually beat me" Santos said. "Well I did. Now leave" I said in a stern tone. "Marry my daughter" "No". He pulled out his gun and aimed it at me. "This is you last chance" "I'm not going to! I have a wife!" Santos smiled. "Freeze!" the officer said. Santos jumped. "Put the gun down Santos" He placed it down next to him. The cops handcuffed him and he gave me an evil glare. He was escorted out along with Mariana. "Are you ok?" "I'm fine" "Good job helping us catch these two" "You're welcome". I grabbed my keys and headed outside. I called Destiny but she didn't answer. I called again and still nothing. My heart started racing.

I jumped out of the car and burst into the front door. "Who is that?!" Ashley yelled. "It's me. I'm sorry. Where's Destiny?" "I don't know" I ran upstairs to find my baby in our bedroom crying. "Baby what's wrong?" I wrapped my arms around her but she moved away. "Don't touch me" "What did I do?" "Where were you?" "I went to go see Markius" "Sure you did. Why couldn't I come home?!" "Something was going on". "Something like what?" "Something that is already taken care of!" "Why did you cheat?" "Destiny what are you talking about?! I didn't cheat! Something happened between my ex-" "So you were with your ex!" "Be quite and let me finish. She was stalking me for a while. That's why every time you went out I stayed at home. She would magically pop up and I didn't want you to have to deal with that Her father wants me to marry her. I constantly tell him no so he threatened to hurt Markius. I had to get there before they did. I told y'all not to come home because I didn't know if they would come here and hurt y'all". "Oh.." "Did you come back to the house?" "No.." "Don't lie. This is serious!" "Some guy blocked us in then took me to this empty lot.. Then he raped me.." Anger build up. I'm so tired of my wife being raped! "How did you get away?" "He brought me back home and told me that if I called the cops that he would come back and do it again". "He won't. Did you catch any details?" "He drove a camry, he was black, tall, and had a scar under his eye". "Did he mention anything about a man name Santos?" "No. Is that the same man that wants you to marry his daughter?" "Yes" "Ohh" I grabbed Destiny and wrapped my arms around her tightly. "I promise it won't happen again". I kissed her on the forehead. "I'll protect you. I promise". She snuggled up against me and soon fell asleep. I'm going to find the SOB that raped my wife.

~4:00am~

I woke up to the sound of movement. I got out of the bed and walked to the twins room. There was no one there. I went in Shaniel's and the same thing. I slowly walked downstairs and made eye contact with a man. He swung at me but I dodged it and punched him in the stomach. "Kendrick are you alright?!" Ashley yelled. "Go back in the den!" I yelled in the struggle. I managed to pull off the mask and noticed the scare under his eye. "You raped my wife!" I jumped on him and started beatin him. "Stop wait! I didn't do it!" "Bull!" "My brother raped her not me!" I pulled him up. "Kendrick what happened?" Destiny asked. "Did he rape you?" "No he was taller" He has the scar. "So it's not him" "Destiny are you lying? I told you nothing is going to happen to you" "It's not him. I'm not lying to you" I ley the guy go. "You were still in my house!" "My brother sent me to come trash the place for a couple of bucks". "What's your brother's name?" "Not ratin' my brother out but I will tell you is my brother's scar is under his right eye" "That's where the scar was" Destiny said. His scar is under his left.. "I really am sorry though" "I guess you're off the hook. Don't bring your behind back in my house". He nodded and rushed outside. "Come on baby let's go back to bed it's 5 in the morning" Destiny grabbed my hand and we walked upstairs. "Good morning baby" "Good morning" She rested her head on my chest.
