Chapter 7

~Alec's POV~
Nothing to report. What is going on? There is always something.
  
"What do you think is going on?" Simon asked.
  
"No idea, but whatever it is, it must be big," I stated.
  
"Alec," I heard a deep voice call from across the room.
  
I turned to see Luke approach us gripping his side, blood dripping everywhere.

"Luke?! What happened?"
  
Simon and I caught him just before he hit the floor. "Greater Demon attack," he choked.
  
"Quick! Simon! Help me get him to the infirmary!" I yelled and we carried him through the institute.
  
"A Greater Demon attack? Why?" I asked and Luke winced.
  
"He is in search for Clary. Said he will kill anyone who is concealing her from him. I wouldn't say anything so he sent me with this message," he motioned to his side.
  
"What would he want with Clary?" I said more to myself.
  
"Maybe because she has pure Angelic blood?" Simon said more like a question.
  
"It's a possibility. But why would a Greater Demon want her for that?" Luke said and turned to me.
  
"Who knows. Alec, do you think that is why everything has gone silent?" Simon said nervously.
  
"From what Luke told me... it's more than likely. If he is as powerful as you say, that could explain why the Demons have got into hiding. And the death threats could be why we haven't heard from Raphael," I said and turned away from them.
  
Why would he want Clary though? What would he need from her?
