Chapter 14

~Alec's POV~
Simon walked into the institute and jogged into the main room.

"How were you able to find Raphael?" Jace asked.

"Who cares?! Simon tell us everything," I said.

"Well he wasn't sure if the Demon was in the warehouse like I said but he did say that he knew about a warlock here in New York City. He goes by the name of Magnus Bane."

"How do we find this Magnus Bane?" Izzy asked.

"Simple. Just turn around," a strange voice asked.

I spun around, drawing my bow and aimed it at the man. He wore a suit and had jewelry pretty much everywhere.

"Magnus Bane."

"Alec Lightwood," I said and hesitantly shook his extended hand.

"Raphael told me of your predicament. I will help because I knew Clary's mom."

"Who is this Greater Demon?" Izzy asked.

"His name is Ashleor. Very dangerous," Magnus said.

"What does he want with Clary," I asked and sat my bow on the desk I didn't flip over.

"I would assume that he wants pure Angel blood, but I'm not sure."

"How do we kill him?" I asked and Magnus thought to himself.

"I don't know. He usually keeps to himself because not many creatures on earth have angelic blood. But we can banish him back to hell," he said as an answer.

"As long as we get Clary back," I said. "How do we find her?"

Izzy and Simon were now standing beside me and Jace was still in the back. Magnus held his finger up and said, "Do you have anything personal of her's like a necklace or bracelet. Jewelry, since it's metal, holds our essence in it better."

I ran upstairs grabbed her necklace that her mom had given to her on her 16th birthday and ran back down.

"Perfect. Step back so I can preform the located spell."
