Zhou Yu x Innocent! Reader(REQUESTED)

A/N: Alright so this is requested and I'm so sorry I forgot who requested it! I need to complete the requests I have so far then continue with my ideas! I hope you all like it!

   Cute. Well, that was what you were called half of the time. Sure you were cute to most but to some, absolutely divine. Some even said the Qiao sisters would be no match before you, or so the rumors said. You were called innocent because of your height mainly, you had a bigger chest than the sisters of Wu. They were nice no doubt, but they kinda got on your nerves sometimes. Especially Xiaoqiao.
   You two both had romantic feelings for Zhou Yu, you had a friendly competition. Of course, she was overly sweet while you were more quiet. She would tag along with him everywhere. And I mean everywhere! Everyone loves Zhou Yu, he was smart, charming, kind, and handsome. Though looks don't really matter to you, he sure did have some.
   "You're so handsome Lord Zhou Yu!"you heard Xiaoqiao tweet as she clutched onto Zhou Yu's arm. He forced a smile and muttered a,'thank you..' as he tried to retract his arm. You were sitting in the garden, holding onto your harp. You started to strum and the two looked over at you as you played a sweet tune. Zhou Yu held onto his flute you didn't know he had with you and started to walk over to you.
   "That's just playing dirty (N/N)..."the young girl mumbled, pouting. She saw him sit next to you and being the great friend she is, she let you have your turn. Reluctantly of course.
   "Oh, my lord! I'm sorry I didn't see you there!"you stopped your strumming and turned. A heavy blushed covered your features, no wonder people called you innocent.
   "No need to apologize my lady, I only wanted to join you. If that is alright with you...?"
   "N-No! That's completely fine with me!"you wave your hands in front of you, your armor pieces jingling. He smiles and holds his flute in place.
   "What would you like for us to play?"he asks, you think about it.
   "How about Feather Across the Seasons? It's a lovely heartfelt song that tells a story."you smile softly. Never would he have thought you would pick such a sad yet beautiful song. He thought of you as a innocent naive girl who only fought on the field of battle for a purpose not your own. You were quite independent, yet still adorable.
   "Excellent choice. Are we singing as well?"your heart skipped a beat as he said we.
   "I always sing when playing this tune, why not? Besides it is supposed to be a duet!"you chirp. He smiles brighter closing his eyes, you giggle. Soon enough you stop giggling and quietly pluck the strings of your instrument as a sign of the beginning of the song. Zhou Yu then takes the signal, beginning to play his flute quietly. Soon enough you start to sing softly with him joining in every now and then. He usually just listens to your sweet voice.
   "With spring coming, I sing with the twittering birds of its joyous signs."you sang.
   "'What a beautiful voice,'you said."you both sang, wow amazingly at that.
   "And just that, those simple words made me so happy,"you pause,"'If one day, I don't sound beautiful any more, still, would you still love me?'"
   "'Of course I would,'you smile kindly."you both hummed in harmony. Your singing enchanting, soon some of the officers came by the garden when hearing the two officers. Everyone circled around, sitting and listening to the couple sing with passion.
    "Slowly, your large hand caressed my cheek."you sang with such, maturity. It'd be hard to believe that people who deem you innocent.You continued to sing, sing your heart out. Lianshi and Sun Shangxiang listened to the part when the male lover fell ill and cried. It truly was a beautiful song. Even Gan Ning wiped his eyes every now and then.
   "'Such beautiful fingers,'you say, but your hand gripping my scrapped fingers is too, too cold..."Zhou Yu and yourself sing. You closed your eyes enveloping yourself into the music, really getting into it.
   "'If one day, my beautiful fingers are no more, would you still love me?'"you strum your harp lightly as he plays his flute elegantly.
   "'Of course I would,'you tell me, coughing, covering my stinging hands in your large hands."you both harmonized, Xiaoqiao was even smiling quietly to herself. You may be her 'rival', but she couldn't deny you had amazing talent. Besides you were both still friends. She sat beside Daqiao who was sitting by Sun Ce. With her head on his shoulder.
   You both sang, each your own lines this time. Him singing slow and soft, you singing fast and sounding as if worried. You both hit the high note, he was a little lower since he was male but even Zhou Tai was taken aback.
   "Woah..."he muttered quietly to himself. He sat next to Sun Quan who sat next to Lianshi. They had their hands intertwined secretly. Oh how you wished to have love like them, to have someone care and hold you. To have them whisper sweet things in your ear. Oh how you would long for these things every night.
   "'One day, even if I'm no longer human, would you still love me?' Too scared, the truth remaining untold, slowly, I break off the last feather alone..."you sang sadly.
   "'Of course I will,'I smile, embracing you bereft of your wings. That was a beautiful, soaring crane I saw that day, and I've always remembered, and I remember it now,"he takes your cheek in his hand, which you blush and give a questioning look,"and, as ever, I love you."with that he kissed you and you nearly forgot how to breathe. The kiss was soft, as if he was afraid to break you. You close your eyes and lean in, not even seconds later you hear LOTS of cheering.
   "Finally! It took you long enough Yu!"Sun Ce teased, you both pull away. You look away blushing.
   "Wait a couple months before you ravish her."Gan Ning snickers.
   "My lord what does that mean...?"you ask, pure confusion written on your face.
   "Nothing you need to worry about."he sighs, slinging an arm around your waist. Oh yeah, this was going to be fun.

A/N: Sorry this one was shorter than the others, I was listening to this song over and over so it was kinda stuck in my head. It is really beautiful though, sorry if this isn't good enough. I'm glad I wrote this though, it's time to work on my other request!
