                3rd person P.O.V

                                 Wang Yuanji  and  (Y/N) were known as the beautiful yet clever flowers of Wei, many knew their strong friendship they had with the Sima clan they didn't expect Yuanji to marry Sima Zhao. It all fell on (Y/N)'s shoulders, many expected her to marry Sima Shi as soon as Lady Yuanji would. Though (Y/N) and Sima Shi were affectionate for each other that wasn't how the two thought of each other, or so she thought...

             (Y/N)'s P.O.V

 As I was conversing with Yuanji, or she was complaining to me on how Zhao keeps on complaining to her(ironic) in the peach garden I overheard some surprising information.

      "Just ask her to talk with you in the garden, it shouldn't be this hard for you brother."

      "It really shouldn't be this much of a hassle, you just confess feel-"

     "Lady (Y/N)? Are you listening? I'm sorry to trouble you complaining to you, you could've just said you didn't want to listen.", Yuanji inquired with a small frown gracing her lips.

    "A-Ah, no Lady Yuanji. I'm sorry if it seemed like I wasn't paying any attention, I was just listening to our lords conversation...", I trail off noticing if I ramble it won't do me any good.

     "What did you hear that grabbed you attention?", she seemed just as curious as I did, we're like two peas in a pod!

     "I heard Lord Shi talking to your husband about asking a girl to the garden, who do you think it is?",as though if my mind was being controlled by my heart, I think it might be me. Excuse me heart, who said you could distract my brain? I'm very certain no one did so just go back down my throat and into my chest. I wouldn't be lying if I said I did have  real feelings for Lord Shi, I'm just afraid of rejection. I've been rejected many times with love and I kind of gave up on it, if I'm not meant to have any romantic relationship then so be it. I can manage myself always have and  always will.

      "Hmmm, I think it might be you, I know how close you two can get. Admit, you have feelings for him.", Yuanji always knows what to say, especially at the right time.

     "I know I do, but do you really think he will reciprocate those feelings? Our Lord is a man made for ruling the land, probably not a man to love another unconditionally. Especially to some like me, I'm an officer below him. An ally, a loyalist, a part of a plan, nothing more.",she hums sadly in response and goes over to Zhao, she's so lucky to have someone by her side. I couldn't envy her more than I already have, she has everything. She has beauty, intelligence, and a loving husband. What more could a girl ask for?

    "I'll just go to my quarters for now.", as you walked Zhao gave you a thumbs up, huh. Yuanji gave you a big genuine smile, somethings up. I just headed towards my quarters and literally all officers smiled at you. Not like it's not great, it was just odd. Maybe Lord Shi would ask me to the garden, or it was a simple change of the day. It was just getting weirder the closer I advanced to my quarters I caught a couple of 'good luck's on my way. I stood in front of my room and went inside to change into something more comfortable. When I finished I heard a knock at the door(or screen idk),"Come in." A maid appeared and looked a little exhausted.
