4. The Dinner Disaster

"Oh gosh I am never doing that again." Nash says.

"Oh c'mon you guys, it was fun!" Cameron laughs.

"God I hate pickles, I do." A guy named Matt says.

"We'll just record the rest later." Cameron says. Hunter and I walk in to see the mess the boys made.

"Hey Spence and Hunter," Jack says. "Coming to dinner?"

"Yeah," I say. "What are you guys doing?"

"Oh, Cam, Nash, and Matt just did a pickle challenge. It was gross." Johnson says.

"Pickles? Ew," Hunter said.

"Thank you!" Matt says. I can see Hunter's smile reach ear to ear.

After cleaning up a bit, we all head to this dinner place called Baguette. I've never heard of it but I believe it's an Italian restaurant. It sounds delicious considering the fact that I've been craving Italian for like...forever.

"This seems expensive," I tell Jack.

"Yeah, well we try not to buy too much. We all pitch in anyway but you know who pays the big bucks." He says. He points to Bart, the creator of Magcon.

"Ohhhh," I smile. We walk over to a section in the back.

"Hey Spence, were gonna sit in the booth behind you, is that alright?" Jack says.

"Yeah, but don't be creeping on me." I laugh.

"Hey, I'm your big brother. It's what I do." He smiles. Jack, Jack, Sam, Taylor, and Aaron go behind us. Hunter and I finally sit down and scan the menu. Then Hayes and Nash come by us.

"Hey guys," Nash says. He sits down next to Hunter and Hayes sits unbelievably close to me. My heart skips a beat.

Hunter and I look at each other and smile. She winks at me and I wink at her. I'm not even sure who she likes to be honest. Matt, Nash, or Cam? Or even Sam. But they're all too old for her except for Nash and Matt.

"What?" Hayes smiles. "Are you two doing that telekinesis thing girls do when they talk about boys?"

"What? Nooo," I smile too nervously.

"Yeah they are," Nash says.

"That's a lie." Hunter laughs. We talk a bit before our waitress comes.

"Hello, my name is Julia and I'll be your waitress for the night. Can I start you off with a drink?" She says.

"Uh yes, I'll have a water," Hunter says.

"I'll have a lemonade," Nash says.

"I'll have a uh splash berry tea is it?" I ask.

"Oh yes, that is a highly recommended drink. We just added it to the menu." Julia says.

"Okay, I'll take that." I confirm.

"Great choice. And you sir?" She says.

"I'll have what she's having." Hayes says.

"Alrighty then, we've got a water, a lemonade, and two splash berry teas?"

"Yes," We all say.

"Okay, I'll be right out with your drinks." Julia walks to Jack's table and takes their orders as well.

It was kind of awkwardly silent between Hayes and I. Hunter and Nash seemed fine. They were smiling and laughing and taking pictures together. Seriously, they'd be really cute. Really.
