Synopsis:
Twin sisters, Yukino and Kanade Sakurai, room together in the dorms at their high school, enjoying school life with their friends and one another. One day, Sakuya Kamiyama, an underclassman, seeks out Yukino, while Kanade learns from a friend that Sakuya has admired Yukino for a very long time. This innocent revelation sets into motion a chain of events that eventually lead to Yukino expressing her feelings for her sister.

Sakuya "Saku" Kamiyama
A younger girl who is in deeply infatuated with Kanade with the point that she is almost stalking her.
She is extremely wealthy and often tries to spend her money after the twins. She likes collecting old paraphernalia, junk and pictures that belong to Kanade, most of which goes to her makeshift shrine.
Despite her overwhelming presence, the twins seem to like her. Yukino is amused by her and Kanade seems more irritated than anything, but they both seem to have some sort of affection for the girl.
Initially, her presence was seen as a threat to Kanade as she assumed Sakuya was interested in Yukino. She became aware that Sakuya was madly in love with her when Yukino clears the situation up.

Sakuya also was feelings for Isako Mikanagi shown in the spin off of the main story, where they share a kiss as a result from her confession when Isako moves away.

Yukino "Yuki-nee" Sakurai
Yukino is the older amongst the two. She's very fond of snacks and Sakuya often trades snacks with Yukino for Kanade's pictures. She is a member of their school's swim team.

Later in the series, Yukino decides to work part time in order to be able to pay for Kanade's art cram school. However, Kanade refused at this because she felt that if Yukino started working part time and she attended the art cram school, they will get to spend less time with each other. Yukino insisted and started working anyway which in turn created a strain in their relationship.

Kanade "Kana-chan" Sakurai
Kanade is a high school student currently sharing a dorm room with her twin sister Yukino.
She is more pragmatic and less easy-going than Yukino and tends to get exasperated a lot, especially when it comes to the advances of her kouhai. She is also somewhat easy to ruffle emotionally. She often worries that Yukino is sacrificing herself for her benefit.
Kanade is an artist and wants to pursue art studies, however, she understands that it would be difficult to pursue a career in the field and maintain a close relationship with Yukino.
Her little sister Shizuku is closer to her than she is to Yukino, however Kanade is more distant with the younger girl and does not make the same amount of effort as Yukino to be closer to Shizuku.

Kanade and Yukino's much younger sister.
Shizuku is a lot more level-headed than her sisters. She is deeply affected by the actions of Kanade, who she seems to care about more than Yukino. Unlike her sisters, she buries all her emotions deep down without expressing them but they later resurface in various ways, such as her cutting school. She also appears to be very passive-aggressive.
Despite Yukino's attempts to become closer to her, Shizuku clearly spurns the attention of her older sister. This is possibly due to jealousy she feels, as Kanade spends more time with Yukino, and Shizuka would prefer that Kanade pays more attention to her instead.
She seems quietly aware of the deeper relationship that her sisters may have.
