Synopsis:

This story is about a girl, Candy, who is a orphan. She is a nice and optimistic girl and she has a warm heart. When she was a child, she lived in an orphanage called Pony's Home. She had a good friend called Annie. And she met the "Prince of the Hill" who is a important person in her life, on the hill behind the orphanage.

She was adopted by the Leagan's family. What's awaiting her are the bad-hearted Neil and his sister, Eliza. One day, in the rose garden, she met a boy, who is identical to the "Prince of the Hill" who she had met in her childhood. The boy is called Anthony. Thereafter, a fantastic story that she has never expected begins.

William Albert Adley

Albert loves nature, animals and traveling. He stays at abandoned places and he is used to staying out. He finds Candy whenever she is in trouble.

Anthony Brown

He is the cousin of the Cornwell family. He is very gentle,kind, and naive; also can be seen as a typical prince. He was the grandma's favorite and would always get in trouble in place of Stear and Archie. His mother passed away when he was at a very young age and his father is a sailor. His hobby is to take care of the roses in his garden because his mom loved roses before she died. He even bred a rose that was called "Candy" to commemorate Candy's birthday, which he told her that he will give her this rose on her birthday every year.

He was Candy's second love if the prince that Candy saw at "Pony's Hill" when she was little counts as her first love.

He died in the middle of a hunt by falling off a horse in order to save Candy from a raging horse.

Terrence "Terry" G. Grandchester

Birthday: 28 January, 1897

Terrence is the illegitimate and therefore hidden son of a British noble and a famous beautiful theater actress. He is a handsome, solitary, unsociable and rebellious youth who does everything alone and pretends to be cool. Terrence meets Candy at the famous and respected school Saint Paul in London. At first both always annoy and tease each other, but soon they like each other more and more and finally become lovers. Later Terrence leaves the class of the British nobility voluntarily in order to do what he wants playing in theater in America.
